Loooooooong time lurker, first time poster. Even though I often disagree with the level of discontent with the Blazers from some of the posters on this site (except about Meyers, damn youuuuu!), you guys still entertain me to no end and I've been following you guys and gals for Blazer related comments and thoughts since before the mass exodus from Basketball forum. Love my Blazers and love our soccer-momish fans.

Now, I was reading Simmons and Lowe's League Pass rankings on Grantland and when I got to the Milwaukee Bucks, I just got this deep pang of desire for Mt, SANDERS! He would be the perfect all-purpose defensive big for this team, and he's also reasonably unstable which would continue our long and storied history of Blazer malcontents. If you think he'd look good with Henson, just imagine him with LaMarcus. Oh baby. Any opinions, trade proposals, love poems wanted here.

    Excited for the season!

Welcome to the forum! I don't think there is anyone that disagrees how valuable sanders would be. But that would only be valuable if he's playing along side Aldridge and Lillard. And to get sanders; you would need to give one of them up. Personally, if take Lillard and Aldridge over Lollards and sanders. I would feel the same way with Aldridge and Lillard over Aldridge and sanders.

You've been lurking for over 5 years and never posted?? How is that possible!!

Anyway, welcome!! Glad to hear your voice at last. We need somebody like Sanders--preferably mean and nasty and in love with blocking shots, rebounding, and playing defense. Too bad Aldridge is lacking in all of those areas.

    Welcome!

Depends on what we would have to give up to get Sanders. I've grown to like Olshey's bargain basement finds.

The only way we're getting Sanders is if we trade Aldridge. I just don't see it happening. I would deal Batum in a second if we could get Sanders.

Seriously though. If there was ever a way to get sanders without giving up Aldridge or lillard; we'd be contenders.

He would be a legit third option.

It would be like Billups, Sheed, and Big Ben. We just would need a Rip Hamilton lol

I like the big first shot, but I can scarcely envision any scenario where Milwaukee would want to trade him given his contract and production ... especially for what we have to offer (a lot more expensive for similar production).

    Anyway, welcome to the nuthouse.

I was hoping that Crabbe could be a Rip Hamilton type.

Now that I can agree with.

Thanks for the warm welcome my dudes. There have been many a time these past 5 years I've intended to comment, but I would mostly comment, if i ever felt the urge, on certain Bedge articles because it was just more convenient to do so. Hopefully my incredibly sharp wit, strong diction, and rugged good looks will help take this forum to an ascended level.

I know my first post doesn't offer the deepest perspective in this history of this forum, but if I could genetically engineer one player from sugar, spice and everything thrice, it would look, sound and feel like Mt. SANDERS! He's the kind of piece we need to go over the top.

Now on the subject of trading Lillard or LA for SANDERS!...

Dame... oh hell nah. No way. We all know Dame is the kinda talent and personality that thrives in David Stern's wonder emporium. He works his ass off to improve, consistently gets compared to Oscar friggan Robertson (I'm no old timer but I can tell you the Big O is an incredible player to be compared to), and is a slashing deep-shootin' rootin' tootin' guard in a league of them. Damian Lillard, I keep.

LaMarcus Aldridge though... hmm. A trade for Sanders centered (no pun intended) around LMA is seriously something I would consider. Hear me out.

Trade LMA for Sanders and, let's say, Henson (or Ilyasova, or Pachulia and a pick, whatever)... what we get is a young rim protector to grow with Dame...and if we got Henson, our PF of the future. If no Henson, well damn, we have Thomas Robinson to throw into the fire with a young stud like Sanders. We get younger, and yeah our timetable changes... but damn. I love LaMarcus, and I truly believe he doesn't get the respect he deserves for his talent...but replacing LMA's production won't be the hardest thing in the world. He's not Karl Malone.

    It's worth a shot.

Actually he has his frame and shooting touch. I don't see him fighting through screens like rip could though

Yea bit of a pipedream, a good one as he would do wonders for this team, but unlikely. Greg Monroe on the other hand might be available:

Pistons Unlikely To Sign Greg Monroe To Extension

Intersting, but am I the only person in here utterly unenthused by Greg Monroe? IDK, maybe I just need Zach Lowe to tell me he loves him in order for me to love him.

He's really great offensively down on the block, but his defense is seriously lacking.

Effectively, we'd be replacing LMA with a significantly less good version of LMA. Hopefully we'd be able to get Sanders in such a situation lol.
