7:10PM two rookies going at it............

Chase Whitley for the Yankees vs Jacob DeGrom for the Mets

And Jeter is to be honored before the game.

Hopefully we can get the split. GO YANKEES!

Any idea on what gift he'll get from them? His accountants are gonna have one interesting 2014 tax return to file next year.

I wonder what he'll do with 1/2 these gifts. I mean I really don't see him as the surfer type or wearing pinstripe cowboy boots. The gold bat was pretty cool though.

I am looking forward to tonights game....aired here in Southern Cal for a change.

As much I've been looking forward to see what Whitely can do. Welcome to the Big Time Son....his AAA numbers looked pretty good. 2 weeks ago in Scranton/Wilkes Barre, his ERA was a paltry .8XX

Hope he slams the door, and cements his place in the Yanks Starting Rotation...I hope so, as well as he doesn't make a fool out of me, which isn't easy to do....doh...!

I still have yet to see as fitting a gift to Derek, as the Rocking Chair made of Broken Bats, by and for Mo'. His gift from the Twinkies....That Chair was the bomb....!!! Wonder if Mo' sits on it? If not, it would make a nice Cooperstown display for Mo'.

Be nice to see Whitley duplicate what that kid the Marlins threw against LA last night.

It appears that most of the gifts so far have been for the turn 2 foundation. Very clever of the Mets to donate, $22,222.22

Nice job by the kid, thought the ump made some bad ball & strike calls on him.

Anthony DeSclafani....(good Italian kid from Jersey, then Fla. St.) had a great debut night, for a 1st Major League outing, indeed. 25 and 'Welcome to The Show'.

Tony was cruising pretty nice thru the first 5 especially. 1 hit per inning, a key Strikeouts, most batters caught looking on.
Impressive; dominant. Heat, and sharp moving bullets. A real nice outing for any young kids first. Hope to see DeSclafani develop into the Premier Pitcher living up to his billing.

The Marlins needed a Prospect to step up, and fill the void Fernandez will leave. Would Tony of been called up with a healthy Jose? Sad, there not both in the same starting 4-5. I pray Fernandez comes back healthy, effective as he was before he blew his "slider from helll" elbow out.

I'd like to see both succeed in the same rotation, as in the fashion Tony debuted last night,The two would wreak havoc, Spahn and Sain pray for Rain. Koufax and Drysdale pray for earthquakes.

I liked what I saw in Whitely....I've been wondering for a couple weeks what he'd look like on the Big Club. Now I know. Hope to see as much next time. May he have a good illustrious career. NOW DON'T Screw It Up...!!!

It just would have been nice to see him get one more out so he could have had a chance for his 1st ML win.
