Phillies kicking the shit out of the Nationals today. Papelbon cried his way out of Philly to be with a "winner" All season long we saw the Werth Commercial "the Nationals are the team to beat" and they were. Everyone beat their asses and they end up being the NL Chumps instead of champs.

This kind of shit, will get Matt Williams fired quicker than for not making the Playoffs.....

Davey Johnson said as much.........Mutts 86 on Team, Strawberry's complaints to the GM. Sad, a player who's making double digit millions, can influence Ownership to shit can their Mgr.

The Nats have to be the #1 disappointment in baseball this season.

Damn, old Bryce going right after Papsy, pretty cool. Prior to this season, I thought Harper was a smidge over rated but the man has picked up his game well this year. Yep, the X-Spurts (former drips) had Washington winning it all before the season started. What was on the paper never found its way to the field.

...I wish they had not broken them up...Harper would have destroyed Papelbon.

Huge mistake by Washington bringing in that malcontent. Then he clearly wrote his obituary there by going after the franchise in Harper. Matt Williams has also clearly lost control there and will certainly be out of a job in a week.

Papelsmear is a big boy, but Harper is much faster, youth has its advantages. Plus- Bryce could always ambush Pap in the Clubhouse or walkway, and Hit Him upside the Head, for HR #60/61. Those IMO, are still the real records, not McGwire, Not Sosa (3 consecutive seasons of 60+ HR's), and I don't acknowledge the perjures bastard Bonds Single Season record either......

I never cared for one moment of Him in Beantown, either, never could stand his ass, especially that Little Boy glare of His; oft made me laugh my ass off, over how fkng stupid this Kid was, who thought he was a premier Closer, but was nothing ever more than a POS, no team could count on to close out a game, without losing it........

Listening to Matt Williams in the post game it's obvious he knows he's out the door in a week. They asked him why he let Papelbon pitch after the fight his response three times was nothing more than he's our closer. I don't see who gives this guy another managerial job.

Apparently there are no rules among this team. He's our closer, no Matt he's the team asshole & as manager you should have suspended him on the spot for starting the altercation.
