The 8th seed being considered the "best case" scenario is the least exciting thing ever.

I just hope next year, assuming the roster is pretty much the same, that it doesn't take 40+ games for the team to play defense.

They should've started off the year playing this defense and then improved the offense. But like a lot of things with this franchise, they do things back asswards.

Yeah, that's worst case scenario IMO - I couldn't imagine a worse way to end the season.

It still just (mostly) boils down to personnel; they don't have enough of the right kinds of guys around Damian and CJ to ever be a good defensive team, and they may never be a "good" defensive team as long as those two are the Blazers' starting backcourt.

Again and again we're seeing that at the end of games against good defensive squads....Plumlee, Turner and Aminu are left open....how many games Plumlee has to shoot because of this with the game on the line...that's what all teams are doing now. If he can make them....we can win if any of those 3 can't we lose...Aminu got hot and saved us in the playoffs because they didn't guard him at all.....this is our biggest weakness as we stand.

I could and thats getting the 13-14th pick. If you tank you tank hard you don't tank for a late round lottery pick.

All NBA coaches are wearing them to pay respects for a gentleman who passed away who created the Coaches Association. Check your facts before you start blasting people!

That's like saying Carl's Junior has the best fast food burgers in Portland. Not a very high bar to clear.

OK, I'll say it this way: I write for a living. Kerry Eggers is an excellent writer.

I bet you could, but by "fast food" I meant the usual McD, BK, etc...

I've had a few different meals with you over the years, all food is fast food to a Wookee.

Do you know what a Wookee 7-course meal is?

A cheeseburger and a 6-pack of Coors Light.

I once ate at the Rose Garden Club Level buffet with Wookee.

It was an amazing demonstration of gluttony.

I always thought Kerry Eggers and Terry Frei were a cut above. But they started during a different time. When columnists were actually journalists who valued sources and not interested in breaking every sleazy angle on a potential story. Eggers is still a damn good writer though.
