Are people leaning more towards the idea trading Dame and starting a full rebuild with news we might have new gm soon?

this isn't the source saying these things. this is the nonsense that passes for clickbait journalism these days. just toxic.

That -- is the independent investigation the organization is currently conducting. It centers around allegations of a toxic and hostile workplace fostered by general manager Neil Olshey. The Blazers have hired an independent law firm to review complaints and presumably wash Olshey’s mouth out with a bar of soap and send him packing. A franchise source told me “we are nowhere near” close to completing the probe and didn’t expect any other major announcements on Friday.

Olshey stays on the job, for now. Jody Allen is still the owner.

Which is only to say that Trail Blazers, Inc. didn’t get any happier and healthier with this personnel move. But we got a good peek into how uncomfortable it must be to work in a place that doesn’t line up with your value system. McGowan knows the optics and timing of his resignation will raise questions. He could have stayed on the job, per his contract, through June but he threw in the keys. Don’t miss the significance of that.

    The wrong guy resigned.

    Another “L” for the franchise.

So? This is what the source said. Did you miss it?

That is what I was referencing.

Don't be salty because Canzano is writing his opinions. He doesn't really appear to be wrong. A jerk, sure. But we are falling apart as an organization and Jody needs to sell.

man what is your issue with people that don't see it the way you do? Very tasteless, just like Canzano and his columns! Fire Canzano!!! Am I doing this right?

I'll put my $20 into the pot. S2 buys the Blazers!

It wouldn't be worth the cost to move the team, on top of the negative PR the NBA would take to allow a team to move from a strong market to one that is tapped.

I think Dame should buy the Blazers. He can be Owner, GM and Player.

On the other hand, not sure I want Mr. Loyalty as the GM as he would be loyal to his guys and perhaps not make moves that should be made.

    Dunno.

Dame is definitely not the GM we want. We need a GM that doesn't worry about Dame's friendly and overly loyal nature but worries about building a team around him that will help him win a chip.

Unless Jody absolutely has no interest in the team or she/the trust needs the money, there is no reason for her to sell the team. From reports, she absolutely has interest in the team and I don’t think she/the trust needs the money.

Top tier professional sports franchises are one of the best investments for the ultra rich. They are non-depreciating assets that will always go up in value.

I'm sure you would rather read someone that spews confetti and rainbows about the team all the time.

Canzano can be a jerk. He isn't wrong here though.

I don't know about that... first of all Dame probably isn't worth 100M let along 2B and I'm pretty sure he's investing to make friends and family more successful and grow his wealth conservatively more than he's making shrewd big money making decisions.
