    Indeed.

Also, whats the word on 2015 prospect Cameron Scarlett? People are telling me he's a Stanford lean of all people! Offer him already!

right, having good size is important at most positions. As I've repeatedly shown though, 6'2 291 has proven to be solid size for a DT/NT coming out of HS. Here's yet another example. Remember that great Michigan St. defense that stuffed Stanford in the Rose Bowl this year? Here's the HS rivals profile of their 305 lb Sophomore NT

It truly seems like people are griping about Oregon's lack of DLine size out of habit as the facts just don't support it. I went to go check out the "beef" that Zalsa was bemoaning UW landing & saw they'd landed only a single DT who is listed as pretty much the same exact size as Malaota is but he's discounting as not big enough. Another school he touted for the "beef" they landed is Stanford who landed just two DLineman listed at 259 & 263 :dunno:

    check his profile already!

Oregon's in on some really top rated RBs for 2015 and it's cupboards are almost embarrassingly full with great talents. Baring unforeseen attrition, taking 2 kids would be a lot.

I saw his 247 profile and saw him as an "Athlete" my apologies. Which 2015 RBs are we in the running for? We're so not getting Taj Griff because of Georgia and muhSEC. Jamobo(?) is tough because not only do we need to wrestle against TAMU, but Texas as well.

Anyways, now to focus on the next cycle(as the Ratu situation has not been cleared, I think he will take the JUCO route). Who are we focusing on the most for the next year and what are our needs? I already know that D-line will be a big need, but will the offense and a QB be needed? Daigotsu, STOMP, got a run down of what people we targeting hard and which prospects like us?

I've read the coaches saying that ideally you want to recruit close to a full lineup each year, so 1 QB 2 RBs 2WRs 1TE etc...

from my understanding, Ratu is waiting on getting acceptable SAT scores back.

while it's hardly the bible truth of whats what of Duck targets, rivals has a recruiting page that I've linked before that can be queried to show which recruits have early interest in at least being recruited by Oregon (or any other school). You can query it in various ways including which guys are claiming early offers which reflects mutual interest. Unlike many other schools, Oregon doesn't throw out scholarships hoping to attract interest. They respond to guys who've expressed interest in them and then maybe they offer. Heres that link again....

    http://rivals.yahoo.com/oregon/football/recruiting/recruit-search

I see w/Taj Griffin you're still hanging onto the same all powerful SEC myth thats been debunked quite a few times now. He's put Oregon in his early top 3 and says he's looking forward to coming out West. Time will tell if he does, but guys who take OVs to Oregon have committed at a very high rate. Again though, I doubt a top RB recruit will be looking at a tougher depth chart to climb

Only prospect with a high interest in us would be Kris Boyd(?) and he has us alongside Texas. Gonna be tough considering how good Texas has made some NFL level DBs(Earl Thomas, Terrell Brown, and Kenny Vaccaro). Lots of mediums though.

For some reason, I don't know if either Brady Hart or Garret Stidham is the better QB. Both guys look great and I think Hart would be similar to Foles under Chip. Stidham would of course be a MM-esque player.

And low and behold, no DTs so far love us.

If top DT's like Vanderdoes are telling players and sports sites and anyone who will listen that Oregon uses DT's the wrong way, we might want to change that perception before we blame the DT's for not wanting to come here. Every DT fancies themselves as the next Warren Sapp not an oversized punching bag for the abuse of the opponents O line!

Whatever... while we're all aware of your claims of Oregon coaches being completely ignorant (and arrogant!) about football and you knowing all, the probability of something very different being true exists in the minds of most here. Call me crazy (and I'm sure you will) but I'm sticking with the wildly successful coaches rather then some internet poster who thinks Duck DTs should be practicing their swim blocks.

btw, reports were at the time that following decommitting from USC and prior to committing to Notre Dame he came back begging to the Ducks to re-offer him but they said "no thanks". His fickle primadonna act had worn thin on our completely ignorant coaches and now apparently he's got bitter bitch face. Oh well...

I wouldn't read much into the level of interest indicated, just that there is interest. If interest is listed then they've probably reached out to Oregon's staff via their HS coach which kicks off UO's checking into a kid's character. If what they find out is agreeable, then they reach out to the kid and see if they can start a relationship.

I think it's safe to assume that Vanderdoes was the most sought after DT nationally in his class. He has a big personality and younger players listen to him. Clearly his word is valued enough so Bleachers and sites YOU pay for allow him a forum to speak regularly. If there is a perception that Oregon doesn't allow DT's to be aggressive, rather punching bags it might sway us getting top DT's to look our way.

The real point here is everyone in the nation who follows high school football or college ball for the last 3+ years knows who Eddie Vanderdoes is! No one knows who or what or cares what a STOMP is! I'd say Eddie a 5* DT stand out and college Freshman All American telling the country on Bleachers Oregon schemes are wrong for using DT's will carry a dump truck more weight than some passive aggressive internet bully looking for a daily fight so he can feel validated! But hey? You know this already, back to my swim blocks!

you keep missing the point, is this on purpose? It's not my opinion I'm relaying, it's the opinion of some of the most successful coaches in college verses the opinion of a scorned meathead primadonna.

And you calling me a "passive aggressive internet bully" again sounds like namecalling. Didn't you just promise that if anyone could find anything close to you being personally insulting you'd leave our fine board forever? This is on the heels of recapping my views word for word and saying anyone who held those viewpoints is "completely ignorant" about football. Something tells me you won't be a man of your word and you'll continue to grace us with your football genius nuggets like swim blocks.

Stomp- you call me out, you stalk my every post! The "swim block" was on a thread I created like most you spend your days getting yourself in a huff to respond to and attack. The mods told ya to put me on ignore still you attack and attack cause you are a bully! These are facts. Sorry Stalker BOY but as "for find me a post where I've attacked Stomp in the PAST 6 months", read or comprehend much? Today is the present and since the mods refuse to muzzle your bark, you get what ya get!

To the rest of this board I apologize but this Stomp is a self righteous jerk bully! That's about as factual as you can be and he should be banned for his daily hazing!

I can't disagree with your opinion, but attacks like that are not allowed on these boards. STOMP is really good at belittling an opposing opinion, but he doesn't personally attack the actual poster. I think it's actually more counterproductive to a fun debate, but I learned a few years ago that engaging him in conversation isn't worth it. I suggest you do the same.

following you crying up a storm in the personal attack thread and making this post...

...you decided what would be smart would be to list view after view I've espoused and state that anyone who holds these views is "completely ignorant" about football. How is that not insulting or attacking in any way? Up until then I'd let you weave your gold without a response. So save the I'm an innocent victim Bullshit as it's ridiculous. You whined, the Mods said no more, and then you did your best to insult me yet again. I've posted in this general group for over a decade and no one has come close to calling me as many names as you have.

So again, will you be a man of your word or does that mean nothing?

The problem with Stomp is that his posts reflect the attitude of a lonely, middle-aged and obese man with no life but to scour the internet in hopes of finding some original material. Notice, I said his posts reflect...that is allowed per the rules.

After further consideration and communication the suspension has been increased to a ban. With this post, it has become clearer than ever, that the intentions of posts like these, are to disrupt and cause arguments with other members... and not actually discuss topics related to this sub forum.

There have been multiple attempts in getting comments attacking people to stop, but you have been unable or unwilling to do so.

If there are any questions/concerns by any members please feel free to ask either publicly or privately, whichever suits you better.

    Thanks Wheels/Mychal
