Couisnard, South Carolina stun No. 10 Kentucky 81-78

-- Freshman Jermaine Couisnard made the most of his first college start. His success against No. 10 Kentucky could mean bigger things ahead for South Carolina.

Couisnard had a career-high 26 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded, and South Carolina (9-7, 1/3 Southeastern Conference) stunned No. 10 Kentucky 81-78 on Wednesday night.

No. 15 Kentucky tops Georgia 89-79 for season sweep

Ashton Hagans believed breaking out of recent shooting struggles was just a matter of falling in line with other facets of his game.

And, facing a team from his home state seems to bring out his best.

Hagans scored 14 of his 23 points in the second half and No. 15 Kentucky used a 14-4 run to pull away and beat Georgia 89-79 on Tuesday night.

Cambridge's big night lifts Auburn over South Carolina

After back-to-back blowout losses highlighted the Auburn offense's tendency to be stagnant, and at times nonexistent, Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl leaned on a freshman off the bench to pull his team out of its two-game lull.

Coming into the game, the Tigers had suffered losses at Alabama and Florida where they managed to score just 64 and 47 points respectively.

Auburn found its spark Wednesday night.

Devan Cambridge scored 26 points, J' Von McCormick added 13 and No. 16 Auburn beat South Carolina 80-67 Wednesday night to stop a two-game skid. Cambridge's previous season-high came earlier in the preseason in November, when he scored 10 versus Cal State Northridge.

Doughty, Okoro lead No. 16 Auburn past Iowa State 80-76

True freshman Isaac Okoro has a quiet confidence about him.

He doesn't trash talk or boast, because as his Auburn teammates put it, he doesn't need to.

"Nah, but he definitely backs it up every time," guard Samir Doughty said when asked if Okoro says anything on the court. "If I was on the opposing team, he's not someone I would want to guard."

Okoro scored 19 points, Doughty had 18 and No. 16 Auburn held off Iowa State 80-76 in the opening game of the Big 12/SEC Challenge on Saturday.

No. 15 Kentucky pulls out 76-74 OT win at No. 18 Texas Tech

While there were a lot of happy players in the Kentucky locker room, only Nick Richards got a kiss on the forehead from coach John Calipari.

"I said there are about three of you in this room that need this, but I will do it for you, so I kissed him on the forehead," Calipari said of the the 6-foot-11 junior forward who had 25 points and 14 rebounds as the No. 15 Wildcats won 76-74 in overtime at No. 18 Texas Tech. "Nick was unbelievable."

No. 17 Auburn rallies for double-overtime win at Mississippi

It was so wild Auburn coach Bruce Pearl called it the craziest game he had seen in a long time.

When it finally ended, the Tigers had a hard-fought victory. Barely.

Isaac Okoro converted a big three-point play with 1:41 left in the second overtime, and No. 17 Auburn topped Mississippi 83-82 on Tuesday night.

Williams leads No. 22 LSU past 'Bama for 9th straight win

When Emmitt Williams' double-pump dunk gave No. 22 LSU a 15-point lead over Alabama with two minutes to go, Tigers coach Will Wade implored his team keep up the intensity and close it out comfortably for a change.

Williams had 23 points and 11 rebounds, and LSU defeated Alabama 90-76 on Wednesday night for the Tigers' ninth straight victory -- but only their first by more than four points in seven games.

Kentucky hands Vanderbilt record 25th straight SEC loss

Just as Vanderbilt was poised to take control for good, No. 13 Kentucky seized momentum and the game by getting stops and turning them into baskets.

The Wildcats ended up maintaining their roll and handed the Commodores a record they didn't want to discuss.

Tyrese Maxey scored 10 of his 17 points in the second half, and Kentucky used a 23-12 run to rally past Vanderbilt for a 71-62 victory Wednesday night that dealt the Commodores their record 25th consecutive Southeastern Conference regular season loss.

No. 12 Kentucky rallies from 14 down, beats Vanderbilt 78-64

Kentucky coach John Calipari watched his Wildcats fall behind by as many as 14 points in the first half and enter the locker room down with their biggest deficit of the season on the road at Vanderbilt.

No yelling. No tirade. Calipari only told his Wildcats to start throwing the ball inside to Nick Richards.

Tyrese Maxey scored 25 points, and 12th-ranked Kentucky rallied from their biggest halftime deficit this season to beat Vanderbilt 78-64 Tuesday night.
