<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Six days into NBA free agency, the Kings, with point man Geoff Petrie, have conducted a lot of talks but have not extended any offers. Free-agent guard Cuttino Mobley's agent, Andy Miller, said Tuesday he has spoken with Petrie at least once daily since Friday, when league rules permitted negotiations between players and teams. Darius Songaila's agent, Mark Bartelstein, said both sides are aware each would like to get a deal done but that one has yet to be made. Agent Aaron Goodwin, who represents free-agent forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim, said his client has spoken with both Petrie and Kings coach Rick Adelman since Friday. "We're going to try to set something up for Shareef to come out and visit sometime this week," said Goodwin, who will be looking for a sign-and-trade deal with the Kings and Portland to try to get more than the expected $5.2 million midlevel exception Sacramento has to offer.</div> Source
That could be a very good fit. Perhaps a sign and trade with mobley for Reef. That would give the Kings a legit PF.
This is going to be Shareef's 10th season I believe. The Kings badly need size and athleticism and for that reason I dont like this idea.
Reefer is 29 and has a career average of 20 a game. If the Kings want athleticism, then they can resign Songalia to add to guys like Kenny Thomas. Whatever it is, I just want something in return for Mobley.
Songaila is a nice player, very tough and always ready to play when he comes off the bench. The Kings have a good team and picked up a great shooter in the Draft. Transition D, defensive boards and shot blocking are their keys this year. If everyone focuses the Sac Kings will be very hard to beat.
