So anyone remember what happened to Dunleavy in the 2nd half? Jeez, I hardly even noticed he was there except for a nice lob pass and a crossover dribble. Meanwhile, this guy Pietrus saw very little action (yeah, it's preseason, I know) and he was looking pretty sweet.

No problem. We'll keep you posted. Especially on Andris Biedrins.

Jesus, can Barnett stop with the Dun-love for at least 1 minute??? The guy can't connect when Barnett is jabbering about what a great defender/passer/shooter Dunleavy is.

See Dunleavy scores when Barnett is quiet and he made a good hustle play.

W's ought to get J Rich and Pietrus in togather and outrun these guys...and quit flingin' 3's!

All right Pietrus is in the game, let's get the show on the road.

Damn, well we're out of options until we get some inside game because we can't get anything inside. Too many bad shots where we're not hitting it tonight.

Settling for jumpers over and over. This is lazy basketball, plain and simple.

I guess that's preseason for us. Lazy ball, nobody wants to get hurt. Man, couldn't stand the Dun-love from Barnett tonight. I guess the guy's been holding it in all summer that he's got to let loose. If Barnett ever stopped talking about Dunleavy he'd probably have to pay for viagara.

Jeez Dunleavy has got all these nice moves, between his legs back and forth, fadeaway shot and misses everything [IMG]

There needs to be a new rule within the organization. Barnett can't praise Dunleavy anymore.

I actually like how Dunleavy's playing today... he's struggling, but this is preseason game 1. I like how he's handling the ball and his build

Yeah I like his mustache too. Did you see the 30 footer he shot and missed badly just now? Man what was he thinking? I'm glad they are throwing in Dunleavy to at least see what he is made of. It's preseason so we don't risk our good guys and we test the young guys like Dunleavy/Pietrus/Biedrins that we'll have to decide on later. At least we're playing okay defensively, but we need some offensive power. We've got no dribble penetration and very little inside presence. Dunleavy is making some good hustle but he's barely noticeable.

Dunleavy is playing much better D than usual-but on offense he's pretty ragged tonight. This could be the game where they bring in Foyle to pick up the OFFENSE.

Other than that 1 play where Walton ugh.. abused him, he's actually looking decent on defense (did I just say that?) On the downside, Pietrus should be in the flow more than any player being that he played all summer, but he still looks a little lost out there. Hopefully it's because he's not used to playing with these guys and he's playing in a different role

Ellis is quick. He needs to slow down a bit though. Side note: Zarko looks like a young Bob Geldoff (sp?)

I really wanted to see Ike today. Our backcourt with BD and Jrich deserve a nickname.

LOL, well put [IMG] When we're shooting 36% as a team we might need Foyle in the paint.

No prob. Nothing really exciting to hear about. We're just seeing which guys are going to make the 12 man roster. I mean who could we really guard with a three guard lineup this small? Pietrus is guarding Lamar Odom for gosh sakes.

Anyway, I hope Barnett gets fired soon. The guy needs to comment on the game not the players he'd like to tie up and molest. Talk about midseason form when it comes to the over-praise.

Was Barnett in "Dunleavy is my bastard son" mode again?

Well, it's a training camp, but win could have been nice. Seems like we already got our 15 men roster...

Yeah, I think the W's went hot early just to show the Lakers we could have smoked them, but we didn't want to risk hurting our good players or embarassing the Lakers any further near the end of the first half, thus avoiding pissing off the majority of Hawaiians who seemed to be mostly Lakers fans.

And yes, Barnett was obsessed as usual. A lot about basketball commentating I think is about the situation, the present moment in the game, and he just goes off doing his own thing and not being helpful to the viewer. He's more of an annoyance. I mean the tidbits are fine when it's halftime, but the guy can't call a game while it's happening. He'd rather talk about what's on his mind at the moment rather than what's going on in the game at the moment. I don't like homers at all, I think they have an agenda, an unholy bias which distorts their sense of reality. In this case, it was centered on Dunleavy, who wasn't really getting us results as let's say Baron Davis (or even Foyle). It's just the same old act, it's getting tiresome. Either Barnett goes or Dunleavy would have to. It's like he jinxs him.

Also the Barnett praise on Dunleavy's defense? What about the rest of the team, I mean they were playing team defense. How can he credit only one guy for a team effort to contain the guys. That's just biased.

So anyway, I got this idea of how Cohan plans to make money using Barnett's commentary. The Warriors organization pays Barnett to annoy the viewer so immensely they are forced to actually go to the games. [IMG] Damn.
