    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Warriorfansnc93:</div><div class="quote_post">#1 Derek Fisher
#2 Pietrus who some consider is going to be the 6th man of the year
#3 Zarko who is like a Dirk lite
#4 Ike Diogu who may end up starting by mid season and that would leave Murphy as our bench PF
#5 Biedrens who some consider is going to be a top 10 center in the next few years.

I appreciate you thinking you have a dep bench, but IMO your team is 2-3 players deep on the bench. Our team in contrast is 1-2 men deep at every position. You can not expect other teams to know your team as intimately as yourself, just like your comment about our depth compared to your depth is inferior. IMO our bench is going to be very similar to the bench mobb days of Sacramento of 5 years ago this year....</div>

OK I think you have misunderstood my proposal. I didn't mean to imply you guys have no bench, I meant compare benches realistically, not from a fans point of view, and you will see we have a deep team. You say we are 2 - 3 players deep on our bench, and you are 2 players deep at every position, to me thats not right what you said about us. That seems like a fans view. We have Kenny Thomas, who is small but can play 3 or the 4. We have Skinner who can play 4 or 5 but again is undersized. We have Jason Hart backup for the PG and he has proved he is one of the best PG backups you will find. Bonzi can play at SF and we have Garcia and Martin to fill in at SG and SF. Some people say Martin may be in the running for most improved player. Everyone has opinions and there all different but its not fair to say we have no bench at all.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GiantMidget:</div><div class="quote_post">Is a warriors fan speaking ignorance in here and then calling for the mods when called out for it?Sad. Shootingmachine has a point though.Compare benches and then with an honest face say the Kings have no depth. The point is someone said "the kings have no depth whatsoever." Thats erroneous. Troy Murphy is underrated. I expect Peja to go nuts, he'll have dunleavy guarding him most. Another reason why Pietrus should just start.</div>
That wasn't the point. The point is not to go flying off the handle on first read, but to step in, share their info and convince the audience why they disagree with something said. And they need to do it with common courtesy, facts, and the assumption that not every basketball fan will see things the way they do unless they probe, educate, and get to the bottom of this reasoning. It was clearly not an attack on the Kings, but a point of view where I can kind of see where it was coming from. Just nobody stood up for the Kings because either they don't follow them that closely or they don't know what to expect from that bench.

A good poster is one that informs, educates, is patient with others. And if you can see where Air Pietrus is coming from he believes that the undersized bench is not very deep. All it takes is to ask him why he thinks that way. It's not that hard.

I mean this isn't tribalism here, we're all basketball fans. Let's share the knowledge and perspectives here so we can all benefit.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Run BJM:</div><div class="quote_post">The Kings second unit isnt that bad...but they arent as good as you are saying either. Mostly undersized players and tweeners, Skinner and Hart are good defenders but they arent going to stop dominant big men or PGs, Williamson is a nice offensive player and Thomas is tough but again wont bring much that SAR doesnt. Not too bad of a unit but there are some pretty large flaws.</div>

Kenny Thomas averaged 14ppg, 8rpg, 3apg, 1spg. Corliss Williamson averaged 10.3ppg, 1.5apg, 3.60 rpg. Brian Skinner averaged 7.5ppg, 8rpg, 1.72bpg, 1.4spg, 1.5apg. Jason Hart averaged 9.5ppg, 5.0apg, 2.7 rpg, and 1.34spg. Garcia (our rookie) averages 11ppg in the preseason game so far, and has proven he can score. Kevin Martin averaged 19ppg in the summer leagues and has worked tremendously hard on his game over the summer. Candidate for most improved player? Some people think so. Now you honestly judge whether we have depth. I'll let u judge it yourself, now you know abit about the kings bench, you have no excuses for saying things like "The Kings have no depth whatsoever". You judge.

Now that is a better post. That is what I am talking about when I say most fans would not know that about your team. Only you would know that type of info...

    Jason Hart is weak

    Corliss is solid

Kenny Thomas is solid and will start if Shareef gets injured

Skinner looked good last year after the trade

    Garcia unproven

Martin, come on summer league? Our 19 year old avgd. 15!

That's 3 solid frontcourt guys, and 3 question marks. To say that their among the NBA's best benches, come on that's a stretch!

Jason Hart is not weak he is a good backup. I've read numerous articles stating he is one of the most solid back-ups in the L. I agree Garcia and Martin are unproven, but seeing that there will be a 8 man rotation we have a good bench. Read the stats, I know they don't show everything btu still that is a good bench.

Hart is with his 4th team in 5 years and hasn't gotten any significant burn until last year with an expansion team. I'll take a wait and see attitude with him.</font>

this is silly. Skinner,Thomas,Corliss,Garcia,Hart are all good players to have on a bench. Not the best bench, but its not like last years Suns. Its a legit 8-9 player rotation. So "no depth" is wrong.

Fair enough, I understand how you feel. But Hart will be a solid bench contributor this year, not saying this out of being bias but he will be.

Shootingmachine said, "the Kings bench is as deep as you will get" and "they are up there with the best".

Dude, be realistic. You have some decent backup guys, that's it! If you want to make claims of "deep" and "up there with the best", you need to remain on the Kings board, not ours.

Jason Richardson will not play tonight personal reasons and Pietrus will get the start. Does anybody know what is going on with J-Rich up there? I know he left Hawaii early. By the way is it just me or does Dunleavy look like a 70's porn star with that mustache?

Foyle had to come out, he can't guard Thomas so Biedrens is in at center.

As far as I know, it's something to do with family illness. What the heck is going on with Dunleavy and mustache? Maybe, that's why Peja is on pace to score 84 pts so far...

Murphy has 8 early points mid-way through the first, the guy can't miss a perimeter shot. And how about Baron posting up Bibby, made it look too easy.
