Fisher was on the radio in LA and I'll copy and paste someone's post regarding his interview.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">They kept asking him if he missed L.A. and he avoided answering every time. That was classic. But the rest of his statements pissed me off...

He stated very clearly that he is not comfortable in his role with the W's. And that when he signed he did so with the knowledge that he would be the starting PG. And he suggested that now that Baron is here he isn't thrilled about his situation, but he's going to "act like a professional."

Lastly, the radio hosts asked him if the W's came to him and told him they had a trade on the table with the Lakers would he be happy, and he said yes. He said he would be happy to go anywhere that he could start, because with the success that he has had in his career and experience that he has, he feels that he deserves to be a starter.

MULLY, GET RID OF THIS GUY NOW!!! THE CANCER IS ABOUT TO START GROWING!</div>

I don't know how Fisher can be this delusional. Davis=stud, JRich=stud, DFish=solid vet without a position. Even Pietrus is willing to admit, it would be for the best if he came off the bench. The W's just cut everyone except Miles, sounds like he's staying. Keep Miles, trade Fish for some help and take it from there.

i don't get it!! he got the best numbers of his career last year!! wtf is he being such a bitch about?? he got 30 mins a game last year, 8.4 more mpg than his last year in LA. does this dumbass really expect to start over baron? send his ass to LA, personally, wouldn't miss him too much. sure, it was nice that he hit that game winner against milwaukee, but he really needs to analyze what a realistic role for him is on this team. i have faith in ellis becoming a good player in this league, sh!t, i'd rather have dun run point half the time....arrrggghhhh this pisses me off!! haha

Can somebody remind Fisher that he can always forfeit his remaining contract? I am sure Mullin would love to take mulligan on Fisher signing. I don't have a clue what exactly went through both Mullin and Monty's mind when they decide to sign Fisher for 36 mils/ 6 years.

Well, in one hand, it is somewhat understandable why Fisher was frustrated. He could have gone to Houston (with less money), but he came here because of the promise of starting job. From day 1, starting job went to Speedy, then Warriors add Davis and Fisher can't possibly start over Davis, hence the promise of starting job was broken. Of course, he convinently forgot about his own ability for some reason.

This thing has a potential to be ugly. Currently, we can't trade Fisher with somewhat attractive package, and if he is traded, we have to accept similar ugly package in return. But, Fisher still has a use for the franchise as a back up PG and SG, since we have two rookie PGs as backup PG and Davis hasn't proved himself as a durable PG for last 3 years. But, if we keep him, he won't be happier, and the way Fisher is getting old, he may very well be useless as backup in near future.

Fisher signing was a disaster from the beginning, and hopefully, it doesn't blow up in near future...

Fisher is making more than he deserves and will still get good minutes. He has no right to be complaining.

Fish is Fish. He is competitive to the point where he is delusional about his own skill level. He is not a playmaker. He's a great passer and a good catch and shoot kind of guy but he doesn't make this team better. I don't know why he doesn't see that. He just wants what is best for him and to be able to show he doesn't need Shaq to make his career. I hope we find a team for him where he can be happy because I know fans aren't happy with the way he runs plays. It just all collapses and he ends up jacking shots up, which totally ruins what the team is trying to do in term sof moving the ball. He's also a good defender only when he can actually keep a guy in front of him, which isn't often. People just take him to school and the only thing he can do is try to draw a charge.

Fish needs to just STFU. He's hardly a starting PG. Lest we forget, he led the team in ill advised shots last year. Yes he hit some big shots for the Lakers but that was with Shaq and Kobe. How does a guy like that forget?

    Malcontent. Send him to Minny.

My sentiments exactly (if the sports press isn't trying to stir up this kind of fan emotion to sell papers. I find it hard to believe that a guy like Fisher is being a baby. I think he's better than that and I don't know exactly if what he said was taken out of context and being exploited by the media).

We weren't exactly playing .500 ball with him as starter. Besides, you know presence and pure impact is felt for sure when a 75% healthy Baron is on the floor, quarterbacking and making others better. With Fish, he doesn't come close to bringing that offensive/defensive talent in terms of running the break, getting defenders to collapse on to him, posting up, distributing in traffic or shooting well enough like Sam Cassell to get away with what he's doing. I think it's funny the way he holds up his fist like he's about to call a play, instead he shoots. When there's 20 seconds to actually try to run a play, he shoots. When he runs the break he either centers it and shoots from the top of the key in transition or slows it down by pulling to the side. F---, Fisher! The only way we score is off the fast break or giving the ball to someone that can beat defenses with the ball (gasp... somebody like J-Rich and to some extent Dunleavy). Heck if Fish jacks that many long shots when he's controlling the ball, might as well have Baron Davis and his sketchy Speedy Claxton like health, one-on-one skill, stealing ability and Fisher's 40% shooting average and three point attempts. At least Baron will dribble a little and get to the line and like, Steve Nash, make fastbreaks, interior passes, and the pick n' roll successful.

he's really not mad about starting..he doesn't like the situation in GS because their really not a notorious winning squad its kinda of a hard of a transition to be a 3-time champ to not being close to the playoffs

Unless Fisher was extremely naive and thought Warriors would suddenly win 3 straight championships like Lakers day, he should have known that this team wasn't exactly a championship material. If he really cared about winning, he should have gone to Spurs for min or at least Houston, where they offered less money than us...

Speedy would have made a good back up... Too bad we shipped him instead.

Wow, I'm surprised to read this. Is this really true? I assume it is. I think Fisher should just be happy with what he has: an undeserving contract, and a significant role with a up-and-coming team. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he will STFU and be a "professional."

why woulds fisher even answer those questions? he knows that the lakers arent thinking about him. he got off with the lakers because shaq got him the ball off the double teams (wide open shots). do these players look at footage of themselves? fisher c'mon man there are alot of players on playgrounds with more skill. So be thankfull that god blessed you with a job at GS.

    Good Luck GS!
