Looks like this Warriors/Clips game is not on TV, but on radio.

Post all game comments here. If it's on NBATV and you have it, please comment at halftime [IMG]

I see this game as a good time for the Warriors to turn around and make another good stretch for the playoffs and to gain confidence.

The Warriors are coming off two good exhibitions last week against teams that have been struggling, especially defensively, and today they will play a divisional rival and also a team that they will compete with for a playoff spot. The matchups will be interesting. The front court must show up today and get physical and show up with a good fight against the Clipper's Elton Brand and Kaman. I am confident slightly with the backcourt matchups because of the health of Pietrus and the unfortunate injury to Maggette.

Let's come out and get this win and put the Clippers on their heels as we soon afterwards get to defend the home court against them. I think if the Warriors can win 4 of the 5 games this week, that they will be getting into some good position and gaining good momentum for the second half of the season. They will also be able to fill in some of the stumbles from earlier in December and earlier in January with such wins. The Warriors are all healthy and going in after some good exhibitions and some nice rest, there are no excuses for a bad showing today.

It's just a damn pity that it's not going to be available to watch on TV, well unless if you have NBA TV.

It's on NBA League Pass which isn't the same as NBA TV, which sucks because I have NBA TV.

Oh well, I like Roye and Barnett together.

If any of you guys have Dish Network, there is a free preview for NBA League Pass going on right now and you should be able to watch this game. Turn to channel 561 or 562 and you should be able to watch it.

I haven't seen much of the Warriors this year aside from highlights on ESPN. I'm looking forward to watching this game. Both of these teams have suprised a lot of people this season and it should be an exciting game. If a lot of you guys can't watch this game I'll post some updates at the end of each quarter.

No surprise so far, our guards are saving the game, Clippers are dominating the inside and first quarter defense woes are being continued. 25-23 Clippers up and 4 mins left...

Murphy's defense is getting all of our centers into foul trouble. If anyone should be benched its him.

I know Pietrus is an excellent defender, but I have a doubt that he will have a problem defending Brand. We have Davis, Fisher, Pietrus, Dunleavy and Foyle line up and Brand is dominating the inside...

    37-50....Clippers are dominating the paint.

On a positive note: Warriors are 6 on 6 on free throws....Somebody's been in the gym??

I hope they win tomorrow. I didn't think they would sweep them on the back to back. They defintely have to win tomorrow and defend their home court. It's strange how they can never beat the Clippers. It seems like in the last 10 years that I've watched the warriors that they have little sucess against them.

I love how everyone that Murphy guards, has a great night...

Notice how once he sat the Warriors cut the deficit from 24 to almost 10. He just doesnt care about defense, boxing out, or passing. He needs to be shipped off.

Murphy is one of the big problem, but our front court is just too undersized and can't grab a rebound to save their lives. 49 to 27??? They nearly doubled rebounding total, and Kaman alone grabbed same number of rebound as Dunleavy, Murphy, Foyle, Diogu and Biedrins combined, 15 to 15. I certainly hope we can do better job at rebounding tomorrow night...

Getting dominated on the boards...and playing so much small-ball anyhow..I don't get it. Not seeing the game,I can't comment on some details, but we have big bodies on the bench,Murphy,I guess is out at the arc,and J Rich is trying to play PF. I think on average Monty is getting bashings he does not deserve, but for this one, that rebounding margin is so big I really have to think he missed the big picture today.

How does Murphy grab almost 11 per last year and in this game gets just a couple? It seems that on every possesion our bigs wind up at the top of the key setting picks at some point. We wind up with guys taking a 20 ft J when we have nobody even close to the basket. How we are not getting more defensive boards,I still can't figure.

Please. Anybody. Anybody! Gimmy Chris Kaman Please! He looked like Shaq (on the gamecast) tonight!

Murphy grabbed 2 boards in 32 minutes. Kaman and Brand both nabbed 15. Cuttino Mobley tied our highest rebounder with 6.

Why is it okay for a power-forward to play the "weak guard" position? I mean, if I'm coach I don't want my Power Forward position jacking up threes and trying to take people off the dribble. You don't see Steve Nash trying to post up in the paint and bang inside. Why? Because that's not his f'ing position.

So please -- I don't care how "run-'n-gun" this team wants to be lol, can we get a friggin rebounder please? They're killing me over here, damnit!

Totally agreed. Heres some interesting stats I found:

    Warriors on/off court rebounding %'s:

    Murphy:
    O-Reb when on court: 26.5%
    O-Reb when off court: 26.3%
    D-Reb when on court: 68.7%
    D-Reb when off court: 71.1%
    Total Rebounding on court: 47.6%
    Total Rebounding off court: 48.7%

    Diogu:
    O-Reb when on court: 28.8%
    O-Reb when off court: 25.8%
    D-Reb when on court: 75.0%
    D-Reb when off court: 68.1%
    Total Reb on court: 51.9%
    Total Reb off court: 46.9%

    http://www.82games.com/0506/0506GSW.HTM

As you can see, when Murphy is on the court we have a negative rebounding differencial, except on the offensive boards where we are up 0.3%. When Ike is on the court, his D-Rebounding differencial is +6.9%, offensive rebounding is +3.0%, and total rebounding is +5.0%. Given that these stats arent 100% accuarate about what happens on the court, theres just too much going against Murphy and for Diogu to ignore them. Clearly, Diogu helps the TEAM rebound while Murphy looks for his own stats and absolutely refuses to box out, which leads to us giving up a ton of offensive rebounds. Its never a good thing when your team rebounds better without its "best rebounder" on the floor.
