He's done a damn good job, but not as good as Avery or Flip.

MVP: Steve Nash, MVP should only be from an elite team, which narrows down the choices to Nash and Billups. I chose Nash because he is much more important to Phoenix than Billups is to Detroit, not a knock on Billups though.
ROY: Chris Paul, no explanation necessary.
MIP: Boris Diaw, David West probably improved just as much but Diaw is much more popular and well known.
DPOY: Ben Wallace, he sort of gets the award by default, Artest and Camby both missed long stretches of the season and I don't think anyone else really played better defensively than Big Ben.
6th Man: Mo Williams, averaging 12.8 ppg, 4.1 apg, and several clutch plays for Milwaukee. It seems like everyone forgot about this guy after the first half of the season. Mike Miller is my second choice.
COY: Avery Johnson, Flip Saunders has done a good job with Detroit but he inherited a virtually flawless team. Avery has changed the Mavs into a very good defensive team and improved their record significantly.

These are predictions, then my picks/explanations.
MVP: Billups - I would still take Nash (narrowly over Wade and Dirk), but the record is where they will separate them.
ROY: Chris Paul - no question here
MIP: Diaw - but then, who really knows how good he was in Atlanta? Still, his stats are impressive and his flexibility is rediculous
DPOY: B Wallace - I would say AK-47 narrowly over Big Ben though. Ron Artest? C'Mon! He missed over a quarter of the season because he injured his ego.
6th Man: Mike Miller - but Mo Williams is dern close.
COY: Avery Johnson - I agree with Run on this one. And he deserves it! Name a more commited coach. I dare ya.

I noticed that not much has changed in my opinion since the beginning of the year. I've got a lot of the same picks. I'll post a comparison.

Preseason Pick/End Of Season Pick

M.V.P.-Dirk Nowitzki/Dirk Nowitzki (Runner-ups: Steve Nash, LeBron James)
Rookie of the Year-Chris Paul/Chris Paul (Runner-ups: Raymond Felton, Charlie Villanueva)
Most Improved-Zaza Pachulia(I was close.)/David West (Runner-ups: Boris Diaw, Pau Gasol)
Def. Player of the Year-Andrei Kirilenko/Andrei Kirilenko (Runner-ups: Boris Diaw, Ben Wallace)
Sixth Man-Mike Miller/Mike Miller (Runner-ups: Speedy Claxton, Shareef Abdur-Rahim)
Coach of the Year-Nate McMillan(ouch!)/Mike Dunleavy (Runner-ups: Flip Saunders, Avery Johnson)

Four out of six; not too bad.
