I am not sure exactly what called they missed on Nash. At the end of overtime when he tried to call timeout? I didn't see a foul... but he did try to call timeout an the refs couldn't hear him and then Boris Diaw tried to call it but too late... Nash no longer had control on the ball.
Nash choked in this game way too much. He was like 1/9(10) in the second half, and the had the first stupid turnover in regulation. Now in OT, while I would not disagree he got fouled, and could've been calling timeout, but why did he dribble to the sideline and pick up his dribble in the first place? The timeout might not have been called because a the ref didn't hear him, a or Laker had his hand on the ball. I really don't know, and I can't say whether it was a foul or not, but considering the circumstances, you'd think LA was trying to foul. Kobe played great down the stretch, he made 2 huge baskets, the tough layup in regulation, and the nice game winning shot. Easily the best game of the playoffs so far. So the Lakers now need 1 out of 3 to take the series. It seems easy, but ask Tmac, it's not.
Anyone pissed about the refs' no-call on Steve Nash at the end of the game should keep in mind that Nash CLEARLY pushed off on Sasha Vujacic to get the ball in the first place with 10 seconds left... if the refs didn't call an offensive foul on Nash, they couldn't have called the foul on the Lakers.
the foul here affected the game more so than game 1, the lakers were still down by 4 or 5 forgot whereas here they were down by 1 and imo, the foul here was alot clearer, in game 1 without replay, i thought kobe had slipped or his steps were too long
damn it! damn it! damn it! i was away again and didnt see the game! i knew i should have recorded it! damn it!!
I didn't watch game 1 so I don't know what foul that was. But, I think Nash did get fouled here. I also thought there was a holding one on Walton with the .07 seconds on Jones, but if there was a foul call there. But, then everybody would have basically been pissed at the arena. I only watched the end. So there probably was a lot more. BTW, on the Odom play, where he got the pass from Walton and got the and 1. Did he dribble, because it looked like he took three steps.

I think the Lakers would have fouled him... but then when they saw the trap they didn't and then Nash tried to call time. At the end of regulation the same sequence took place but on the other end of the court when everyone though the lakers would foul quick... but not wanting foul Nash they trapped him and when he passed the ball they fouled the receiver.

"I definitely fouled him," Thomas said Monday. "I got away with one, but I didn't do it intentionally. It wasn't like I threw a jab at him." With less than a minute to play, and the Lakers down 101-97, Bryant was sent tumbling to the floor as he lost the ball on a drive to the basket, incredulous that no whistle blew. </div> Also like mentioned, Nash had a push off on Sasha before he got the ball. I'll have to see the replay as to whether it was more of a flop or slip than a pushoff, but that itself could've been called an offensive foul. Refs don't let non blatant fouls decide games most of the time. Okay, to take away some controversy, Nash said on NBA TV that he was not trying to call a timeout, Diaw was, he was just trying to hold on to the ball.
And this game might never even have gone to overtime had the refs called the and1 on Kobe's final shot to take it to OT.
