Yep. Diop deserves to play more. I'd prefer him over Dampier, because DeSagana just seems more alert and shows awareness on the court, and his beating Tim Duncan for that key rebound shows that. Now to watch Phoenix and Los Angeles. I'm rooting for the Clippers, I want to see Sam go all the way with them.

Unsung? Steve Kerr was complimenting him every time he took a step.

It's easy to say Diop saved the game and should've played more or whatever, but the first six games, he didn't do anything to warrant playing time. For five minutes (overtime) he played well. He doesn't really deserve more credit than anyone else. With the Mavs, there is no unsung hero. They're a team. From Nowitkzi down to Darrel Armstrong, they all put in what they had to.

And thank god another Spurs-Pistons final is officialy gone.

Diop was the man in the end..After putting Dampier, KVH and Dirk on Duncan..Diop was the one able to get stops consistently..

However my unsung hero is Van Horn..No way the Mavs would've won without his 3 3's. He kept the Mavs in the game in the 3rd as the Spurs were making a monster comeback.

Yeah Diop usually starts. Even in this series, he started. But like all others put on Tim Duncan, many many fouls were called on him. So Avery decided to try different defenders which i completely agree with.

I guess Diop was tired of being on the bench when it came to Overtime. Cuz all though, he didnt score a lot. He prevented Timmy from scoring, which imo, is just as good.

As mentioned in the broadcast, in order to win a Game 7 on the road, it takes multiple "heroes". Diop is definitely one of those heroes. In one game, the Mavs showed what made them better than the Spurs, their depth.

They had contributions coming from everyone. Even the vaunted Spurs defense was scrambling to put out all the fires (especially in the 1st quarter).

To the Spurs credit, they locked down in the 2nd half, but by overtime, the Spurs looked like a beaten-down bunch. They had a cramping Tim Duncan battling a fresh, off-the-bench Diop.

So, yes, Diop was a hero, but just one of many.

I would've preferred more of that Van Horn on Duncan matchup...

well, he wasn`t that good in the entire series but in the OT he won the game for us by stopping Duncan.
