Wow, I think it's dead, Kobe and Shaq are okay with each other now, those guys at ABC are sucking this thing for EVERY possible cent they can get, kinda sad really...

Yes, they don't hate each other anymore, but at the same time there still really fun games to watch, I certainly don't mind.

What else do they really have to put on Christmas though? I guess they want to put games people will be interested in watching, and Kobe vs Wade, the two best SG's in the league is always an interesting one.

I was sure they would put on a Wade vs. Lebron game this Christmas. That would have made me watch.

I agree with og15, there aren't very many rivalries in the NBA that people are interested in.

I'm fine with this being on Christmas again. Should be a good matchup.

Lame, what drama is there any more? these teams will not even be evenly matched at all.

Alright 3 straight years on X-Mas, series tied 1-1 the rubber match is exactly what was needed. It also gives every Laker and Heat fan an excuse not to help clean or setup for X-Mas dinner. I love the NBA!

I don't think it's going to be billed as "Kobe vs. Shaq" this time around. Now, it's "Kobe vs. DWade". Should be fun. I'm kind of hoping Shaq is injured that game, so we can see Wade really try to take over.

Well in Yao's autobiography, he said he sometimes wished Shaq was injured so he didn't have to face him.

Kobe and Shaq are not ok with each other. They probably still have hate for each other but on the media front they act as if the peace has been made. This is a great game for a variety of reasons:

    Kobe vs Wade
    Shaq vs Bynum
    Shaq vs Kobe
    Phil Jackson vs Pat Riley
    Odom vs Payton

The Kobe vs Wade matchup intrigues me on a basketball level. It's good enough to make a Christmas Day game despite the other head to head match-ups. Kobe vs Shaq is always fun to watch, especially as a fan of the purple and gold.

    Kobe and Bron

I would have preferred to have seen Kobe and LeBron, the two dominant players in the NBA that don't play with Shaq. So that you know for sure that if they get X points or assists, it's all legit. Bron beat Wade last year, so I'd like to see him on Kobe (again).

Although this Rubber-Christmas match will be entertaining too. Oh well whatever.

    Huh?

    Better choices:

    1. Phoenix and Lakers - ALTHOUGH they're both in the west, so...

    2. Miami and Dallas - finals rematch?

    3. Miami/New York - the good, the bad and the UGLY

I forgot all about that heat between Odom and Payton. Also Pat Riley vs. Jackson should be good. Good matchups bro [IMG]

It's a shame their still trying to milk a very ugly situation instead of marketing an up and coming rivalry.
