I just wish they came through Gillette first..the steelers did what we should have done to Denver..congrats though I'm still rooting for my local boys Hasselbeck and Tatupu....

Well there's a suprise. No loyalty to your conference. [IMG]

I guess you might as well keep it going though. I know it's not the easiest thing to do to cheer for Pittsburgh.

Yeah it's a tough call right now, but I'm leaning towards Seattle. I just love Alexander, he reminds of Earl Campbell. Plus Joey Porter just needs to shut his yapper.

Pittsburgh is my #2 team. Bettis needs this ring badly and Big Ben is my age so I want the Steelers to win it. It will be a good game though, you can count on that.

I like Seattle. If the Steelers are going to lose to anyone in the NFC, Seattle doens't upset me like if it were Dallas. I think Seattle's a good ballclub and you can't hate their players. Alexander, Hasselbeck, and Jackson are stand up guys.

I'm also a fan of Holmgren. Liked him in Green Bay and like him here.

With that being said though, the Steelers need to kick that butt....

And at least.... at least Porter has backed it up. He's played very inspired football in the post season.

I think this is going to be a great game. Both teams are winning convincingly and are showing a steadiness that is needed to play in big games.

I am seriously looking forward to this Superbowl...

The only reason Pittsburgh is the favorite is because they are the underdog and everyone wants a great game like if Seattle was up by 10 with 2:30 min. left in the fourth quarter and PIT got a touchdown and then Hasslebeck throws an INT and Ben throws a super long pass that a WR catches for a TD as time expires. Something like that. Seattle is also a very underestimated team. If Seattle shuts down Bettis like they did with Smith, they will win this game.

Pittsburgh is the favorite as a product of the strength of the American Football Conference. It's suprising because Seattle is a very good team.

But... and I say but based on statistics, Seattle's defense isn't dominant. Even though they shut out Philly earlier in the season and Carolina's one dimensional offense last week, they were still a lowly 25th against the pass. Roethlisberger has a chance to put up some serious points in XL. And Hasselbeck may be harrassed into making some bad decisions.

Bettis isnt even that good...he is good in the red zone...i love the guy so much but you would need to stop Big Ben...you will also have to deal with our D...the steelers have much more starting Playoff experience then practically your whole organization combined...thats why they will win this game...

Big Ben Has played well but I think he is a little overrated, If Pitsburgh's running game is shut down in any way shape or form game over.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DolfanDale)</div><div class='quotemain'>I don't get the whole apology trend that is sweeping the forums lately.</div>
There are alot of "sorry" people out there I guess. LOL

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DolfanDale)</div><div class='quotemain'>Why apologize for picking the wrong team?</div>
Good question. But, then I have no room to talk after allegedly getting called out for saying I wanted the Colts.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DolfanDale)</div><div class='quotemain'>I guess if you said told the Steelers fans that the Steelers had no chance and they were inbred, crosseyed, snaggletoothed nincompoops for thinking that they did, then an apology might be in order.</div>
There are some Steelers fans who root for the Pitt Panthers and probably think Wannstedt is great. Something about guilt by association?

I don't know if BR is overrated but not quite worthy of all the hype yet.

The thing that gets me is the sucking up to/oversentimentalizing about Bettis.

I'm sure the Seahawks will get past the Steelers D. The Panthers defense was the 3rd best if I'm not mistaken. They will get 30+ points they usually do.

The reason why the panthers D was so bad is because when the offense give u back to back short fields to defend it wears on you, and when the seahawks have twice the amount of plays you cant stop a offense ever time. The steelers have 2 good RBs to control the clock

The Steelers although I question their integrity, should be the gulp...Champs this year, I mean as much as I want Holmy to get him another one I want the Bus to get one first, Jerome Bettis is about the only Steeler I like and he is one of my favorite backs of all time, and for him to leave without a ring would be unthinkable.
