Mark Twain is golf is good walk spoiled. George Carlin said repeatedly hitting a little ball into hole is.... well use your imagination.

Golf trying to hit a stationary ball. Baseball trying to hit a moving ball. I'm not a physicst but know Baseball is tougher.

Being very stronf introvert, you would think that golf would appeal to me but it doesn't. Life IMO is all about trying to continually improve oneself. Why would you do something in your free time that the daily rat race is all about?

while it is true you are hitting a moving ball and not a stationary one...the field as a whole is a bigger target because you are able to place the ball in so many places and get about the same result...where in golf you have one small target and much rough terrain to overcome...

Stamina I agree with. Any talent involved with running has to do w/ track events not soccer.

Exactly. The goal of golf is not to hit the ball - any person can do that. Its hitting the ball with an amount of precision to place it within a very small window. It is technique, confidence, ability, and to some extent stamina (play 36 holes of golf and tell me that you are not tired).

Now I've got no hate for baseball - I think in many ways it is as difficult, if not more difficult, than golf is. I also think comparing the two sports is pointless...

Other sports i like are Basketball both NBA and college but my favorite sport is hockey. Baseball is as boring as golf to me. I like soccer more than baseball.

Don't listen to BA. He's had to out for soccer ever since Mia Hamm got that restraining order against him. I played soccer in high school and loved it. I mainly played fullback, but played a little halfback as well. Unless you've played soccer, I don't think you can appreciate what a physical and painful game it can be.

I think my favorite sport to play is Walleyball. That's basically volleyball in a raquetball court. It's a blast.

As far as watching sports, after the NFL, I do enjoy watching the Kentucky Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals play college basketball. Other than that, I don't watch a whole lot of other sports. During the NFL offseason, I try to watch as many movies as I possibly can. I wish we got to see the CFL here in the states. I would probably enjoy that.

I've played soccer and lets just say familiarity breeds contempt.

Dale is wrong. It was Brandi Chastain that took out the restraining order something about stalking and sportsbras.

I can't remember as the medication & electroshock therapy is working quite well.....I have become comfortably numb.

It would be silly to compare the two. I was pointing out the obvious difference.

I've tried golfing (just 9 holes) & have found that there are better & less tedious ways for me to spend my leisure time.
