i just read that pats have 17 unrestricted free agents at years end...including Richard Seymor, Adam Vinatieri, and David Givens. they are chosing to not tag anybody...what does the future of the Pats look like to you now?

The Pats dynasty coming to an end was going to happen eventually. The best thing about a Pats dynasty to begin with was it prevented a Rams dynasty.

Givens I have heard is as good as gone. Now, it appears McGinest may be gone.

And as the Patriots begin their downfall, Miami will rise?

There is a good chance w/ Saban at the helm rather than Wanny.

I agree. Brady & Belichick are not to be overlooked.

Ya we are done..I hope the NFL thinks like you guys. Also McGinest is not going anywhere and neither is Seymore...once the CBA clears ups we'll be able to see what we'll have. As for Adam I have read that most teams in the NFL expect us to get something done with him but I'd agree with the Pats if they aren't willing ot pay 3 million a year for a kicker..regardless of what he has done for us. So ya we are finished..we'll be 6-10 next season and thats that...LOL

I would only expect the Pats to be better. They were missing their 3 biggest defensive players & their RB for most of last season. They have not put themselves in a financial hole. They'll be active players in FA. I would expect them to make a serious run at a RB, WR & a CB. The draft is where I hope they'll finally address the LB position which is in serious need of an injection of youth. There's great depth in this year's LB prospects. We still have Tom Brady, Branch, an excellent DL & Bellichick. So I would say the future is bright in New England.

Yeah, we're losing all of our good players and replacing them with shit players. I predict 3-13 next year because we just don't care anymore. [IMG]

I think that they will go 6-10, but they will be a better team than everyone they lose to. Just like when they lost twice to denver this year. The league will realize that is the case, just like the fans did with the denver losses this year, and will award the lombardi trophy to the patriots anyway. Also, i think the league will change uniform requirements so players wear helmets on their feet, and shoes on thier heads.

I am going to apply the Law of gravity here. Specifically, What goes up must come down. Its just the way things go.

Look at the Rams mini-reign. However, I won't rule out the Pats as long as Belichick and Brady are there.

And right now its looks like thats the way it will be...because the Jets have some serious cap problems as do the Bills..plus there coaching staffs still have alot to prove.

I really hope Miami wins that division, they deserve a playoff spot. Plus I like Chambers as a receiver, really stepped up

Or is it more like you just don't feel like seeing the Pats win it again..because I'm not sure why they "deserve" to win the division. I wouldn't want the Pats to be in it either if I was another AFC fan.
