After the championship I remember some of you goin crazy over Wade sayin he's the best in the game, he's better than Kobe etc..I actually picked Miami to win it, but I always put Kobe over Wade. I even read somebody say that Wade's numbers get better without Shaq on the court. Well, with Shaq pretty much out this season Wade's numbers have dropped. His points are up, shooting percentages are down, and his 3pt shooting his terrible. Not to mention the Heat look pretty damn bad.

All the while the Lakers are flurishing. Kobe's shooting a better shooting percentage, averaging jus as many points, and deferring more to his teammates this year. So now that the hype from the Finals is officially over, do some of you still stick by ur assertion that Wade is the best player in the league? If so, is he still better than everybody's man to hate in Kobe Bryant?

IMO, Kobe Bryant is a better player than D-Wade.

There are some quotes from the thread after the finals

<div class="quote_poster">durvasa Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">The only player who might make things much easier for Wade is Shaq. But Wade actually scored at a much higher rate when Shaq wasn't on the court with him ... so, it's hard to argue that Wade's great numbers can be attributed to him.</div>

<div class="quote_poster">Eclipse Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Wade showed that he didn't need Shaq to be on the floor to be effective. All those 4th quarter comebacks/performances came with Shaq sitting on the bench for large chunks because of his free throw percentage</div>

<div class="quote_poster">XSV Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Wow, I didn't know Kobe made it to the second round[IMG]. Anyway, quit with the "kobe has been better longer, and give it a few more seasons" BS. We're talkin best player in the NBA RIGHT NOW, not who has had a better career, who will be better, or all that crap. You Kobe fans are just saying "he is better, it's obvious" while Wade fans are actually pulling up stats:.</div>

<div class="quote_poster">XSV Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">So did Kobe put up Wade's number against Phoenix? No. Did Lebron put up Wade's numbers while shooting almost 70% against Detroit. Ahhhhh I DONT THINK SO! Quit hatin' and just bow down to Wade, the dude's the best there is right now.</div>

<div class="quote_poster">XSV Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">As of now, I consider him a better player than Lebron, and just as good if not better than Kobe. Wade beat the Pistons and won the championship with an aging Shaq, something Kobe couldn't do with a dominant one. And I'm sure you know more than an ESPN analyst, someone who is around the league everyday...</div>

<div class="quote_poster">reeling Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">DWade is the best in the league right now, but don't listen to that asshole, when the detroit series started he said Hamilton was just as good as Wade.</div>

<div class="quote_poster">BlueBayou87 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe was closing out those games because Shaq had been dominating them throughout. This made it much easier for him. Let him get into a flow early with less pressure, and then since Shaq created those circumstances, to allow Kobe to be in the flow when the 4th quarter rolls along and some guards need to start scoring, Kobe did. Dwayne Wade on the other hand had a Shaq that was on the bench for much of the playoffs, is far less dominant than in his Finals MVP years, and Dwayne Wade is clearly established as the go to guy on the Heat. There were no, "Im the leader of the team." wars with Shaq, because Shaq knew he wasnt the #1 option. Much like he knew he was the best option for the lakers.</div>

<div class="quote_poster">TopLake Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Wade is the best player and gifted player in the NBA today, Period. Why?? Because he got insane clutch FT and he will get FT whenever he wants even without getting fouled as long as the refs and the NBA loves him.

I can see the next MJ is here..... [IMG]

I wonder if any of these guys still feel this way.....................
