<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Northwest Airlines Corp. has pulled the December issue of its in-flight magazine in the wake of an NBA brawl involving the magazine's cover subject, Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony. Anthony was suspended for 15 games earlier this week for his part in Saturday's brawl between the Nuggets and the New York Knicks. "Northwest does not want to appear to condone in any way the behavior of some of the players during Saturday's game, including Mr. Anthony, by continuing to offer the current edition of WorldTraveler," the airline said in a statement. The January issue of the free magazine was being rolled out early as a replacement, the airline said. Northwest spokesman Dean Breest declined to comment beyond the statement. </div> http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/bask...y.ap/index.html More bad rep for Melo.
hmmm... something tells me that if roger clemens or peyton manning or steve nash had gotten into a scuffle on the court/field they wouldn't have pulled the issue.

Fly Northwest Airlines

Marijuana possession in backpack, marijuana possession in car, walking out on his team mates in a game, getting into bar fights, hanging out with drug dealers, laughing at them when they talk about "doing people in," and now, slapping Mardy Collins...

Definitely not Nash anyway. I still think Melo should be booted from the NBA to set an example and raise the standards.

This is all coming from a guy whose seen a bit of trouble before including hanging out with drug dealers on camera talking about what they'd do to "snitches" and supposedly being in posession of drugs found in his car. A situation in which somebody could have covered for him saying it was their drugs instead. I dunno the other three described probably would be nowhere near that stuff or they'd be smart enough to act without the live camera being on. And you know how the media loves to scrutinize any famous person for hot gossip and story. Nash and Manning are pretty clean. Clemens is probably the sketchiest as he'll probably throw a fastball at your head or get arrested for assaulting a police officer. Now if it was Grant Hill, Lebron James, or Elton Brand pulling a sucker punch, that'd be news to me... But those guys are so nice they'd probably get away with it once. Kobe Bryant could probably escape damage to his reputation because in the league he is considered one of the good guys to other players in the league and he's a great player.
