Let me put it in perspective; When Miami acquired Ricky I was cautiously optimistic and thought Miami has an RB finally... be careful what you wish for.

Seau's arrival was less stressful. It would as good move just to take pressure off Zach & provide some passion on D. Its just a shame that Junior's health wasn't better for longer stretches of time.

I am slowly warming up to the idea of Culpepper to the 'phins. Skeptic that I am, I will still need time and proof that this was a good deal.

I'm worried. There are a lot more "Love Boats" in Miami than Minnesota.

When healthy, Pep is one of the best QB's in the league for completion %, yards, and TD's. Plus, when he doesn't try too hard, he can make amazing plays.

What you need to worry about is when he tries too hard. He's a bit of a headcase and can play outside of his abilities often. If Saban is smart he will put Culpepper into a system which allows him to do a bit of freelancing, nothing too complicated, and really rely on that running game. With that in place, I think you could easily have an MVP QB, which Culpepper is IMO.

I think you'll really start to warm up to him when he has his first 4 TD game.

Allegedly, Its the same philosophy that Linehan installed last year.

He is an upgrade over Ray Lucas, Damon Huard, Feeley, Feidler, Gus, & anyone else I missed since the vanilla one forced Dan out.

I do think that Daunte "Cayenne" Culpepper will heat things up in Miami eventually.

The funny thing is...The Eagles traded AJ Feeley for a second round pick, and the best the Vikings could get was a 2nd round pick. Who would you take, AJ or Daunte...Not even close

Well, that's just the brilliant brain trust at Winter park. In the past two seasons we have lost Randy Moss and Daunte Culpepper for Napolean Harris, Troy Williamson, and a second round draft pick.

    Great work boys.

Yeah but if we move up to the 2nd pick and get Leinart, he could really make people forget about Culpepper and Moss.

Not really. Gus Frerotte certainly wasn't the reason that the Dolphins won nine games last year. He played poorly enough, at times, to have Saban put in Rosenfelds to try and give the offense a boost. If I were Frerotte, I would have my agent talk to the Dolphins to see how much interest they would have in making him a backup. Frerotte is a backup level QB and that's it. Saban realized that the Dolphins need to really upgrade that position if they are going to make some real noise.

Plus Gus has already played behind Daunte. That could be a nice reunion.

They can always sail out to the burmuda triangle. I doubt anyone would find them there.
