Well, the game's in a few hours so I thought we should start posting about it. This is the first game with our newly acquired players. I'm excited but also bummed BD won't be playing because of that stupid suspension, but oh well...

What I've admired this season is the step-up play of other players. I would expect Monta to have a good game tonight (let's keep the turnovers down, please!).

Hmm... well, even though they made a comeback push a the end, the Cavs looked like crap last night -- no emotion. I wonder if they'll come out hungry tonight.

It's easy to get a bloated record in the east and suddenly think you're an elite team, only to play the quality teams in the league (anyone in the West) and get blown out for most of the game.

Look for Roonie to get good minutes tonight. Also, I think he'll be the quickest to find his comfort level with his new team simply because he'll have the ball in his hands and won't be asked to knock down too many shots. I see Rooney coming in and playing like he's been here for 5 years already, where Jax and Al may have to adjust a little to settle in with their new team.

I wonder if Josh Powell will see the floor at all? He played at Dallas -- was that with Nellie at all (or had Nellie retired?)

Bottom Line -- Warriors win this one because they are at home and the crowd will be super-pumped up tonight.

My bold prediction - Barnes steps up and leads all scorers.

Let's see what the new players could do without Baron.

Murph got a double-double. That's all that matters.

Well, that and the fact that Dunleavy "did a little bit of everything."

Unfortunately he did a lot of nothing. [IMG]

But at least the X-factor got 5 minutes and 0 points.

edit: Though I'm still keeping Diogu in my favorites -- it's hard to let go.

Okay, for those of us who want to pronounce Rooney's last name:

    Yes-Uh-Cav-Itch-Us

    In other words.... Rooney.

Jackson is looking a lot better at SF than Dunleavy ever did.

Yeah, Jackson and Harrington just looks so much better than Dunleavy and Murphy. Perhaps it's the style, perhaps the coach, perhaps their teammates...

But in some way it feels like we finally have real players at those two positions, lol.

Harrington's a bit bigger, stronger than I thought. He's boxing out very well inside.

I can't wait to see what it looks like with Baron Davis running the show.

Dude -- Rooney looks good a point guard. He's controlling the offense very well.

Jackson is hitting his shots and just made a sweet defensive stop on the baseline.

Harrington is the player we never drafted with the #3 pick in the 2002 draft...[IMG]
