<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">PORTLAND, Ore. ? The NBA All-Star Weekend has taken its toll on the Jazz. Starting point guard Deron Williams is doubtful for tonight's game in Portland due to a strained left groin sustained while playing in last Friday's Rookie-Sophomore Challenge game. Williams took himself out of the game and afterward had a large bag of ice on the affected area. Williams downplayed the injury at the time, suggesting it was no big deal. But Jazz basketball operations senior vice president Kevin O'Connor said Williams did not practice Monday and that he will be re-evaluated today. Meanwhile, the Jazz also will again be without usual starting power forward Carlos Boozer. Boozer has been out since sustaining a hairline fracture on the fibula bone head leading into his left knee on Jan. 27. He had hoped to play as a reserve for the Western Conference in Sunday's All-Star Game in Las Vegas but did not because the bone still had not fully healed. A Jazz spokeswoman said Monday that Boozer definitely will not play tonight, and he is considered "day-to-day" beyond then.</div> Source Dee Brown getting significant minutes, help
Sorry about no game thread, slipped my mind . Anyway if Deron Williams is out then Fisher should be moved to play at point guard, with Dee Brown backing him up. Fish is no Deron Williams, but it's his natural position and he's got plenty of experience. Which means there's more minutes available at shooting guard for someone, probably Giricek.

Thank god Williams will be back against Denver. And maybe even Boozer. The Jazz had so many chances to take the game and they blew it. And I was kind of upset with Fisher.... he was ballhogging and taking the ball into the paint and losing it instead of passing it to Okur in crunch time :.
Fortunately, it gets better <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Carlos Boozer's recuperation from a leg fracture is coming to an end, maybe as soon as Friday when the Jazz play in Denver. Boozer said he's "hopeful" he can play Friday against the Nuggets. "It's feeling better as far as basketball drills go; hopefully I can keep moving it up," he said of his return date. "I just have to be smart and listen to the leg." Boozer, who sustained the injury Jan. 27, said exams Monday showed a lot of bone growth. "It's a good sign," he said. "I'm excited to be back soon, maybe this week." Deron Williams, who missed Tuesday's game with a strained groin, said he also hopes to be back for Friday. His injury occurred in the Rookie-Sophomore Challenge during the All-Star festivities. "I didn't know what it was, so I didn't say anything," he said. "I want to play the next game, but I'll see how it feels." </div> Source
Oh, that's why he only played 15 minutes in the rookie-sophomore game, I was wondering why that was, because he was doing amazing.
