It's not what you think! Cornhole is apparently a sport where you toss a sack filled with corn at a hole on a raised platform. Still, if I were Carson, I would invite Kimo Von Oelhoffen and assign him Ned Beatty as his celebrity partner. http://bengals.com/community/palmer_cornhole06.asp
VF, I haven't lost my mind. I didn't know that this thread would show up as "Carson Palmer's Cornhole...." at the side when I posted it. However, I would be lying if I said that I haven't been laugh so hard for several minutes that tears are streaming down my face. Sorry.

Seriously(?), I am fighting all urges to quote Beavis (from Beavis & Butt-head) right about now in the regard to the thread title.
huhuhhuh he said Corn Hole Its big thing up in the Ohio/Kentucky area everyone loves throwing sacks of beans into holes up there i guess lol, all my relatives actually enjoy this game, its original title was Corn Hole for the straight man lol.

KCGSC used to live in Kentucky. I'll harass him to get on here and tell us if he's ever heard of the game.
Up in the Greenup/South SHore area up into the souther Ohio area everyone Ive talked to knows of it and most of the them love it for some reason.
thats such a wierd title...hehehe it made me laugh quite a bit though since he hates the steelers so much they should all be assigned to Ned Beatty..

The game is big up here in Upper Michigan, although I've <u>NEVER</u> heard it called "Cornhole". It's always been known as "Bean Bag Toss" in these parts. Leave it to the south to call a good clean game Cornhole! The game became popular when "Lawn Jarts" were outlawed and became unavailable. I made my own set ... Honalulu Blue and Silver boards with the Lions logo and my wife sewed the bean bags with Detroit Lions material. I happen to be an expert at the bean bag toss. I was a top notch unlimited arc slow-pitch softball pitcher for 20 years. I can hit a match box with softball on a 30 ft arc.

A Lions fan has to have something to do during the post-season.

If you want to fork out $85 bucks you can get a fancy set of favorite team at the web-site below. http://www.collegegear.com/sf/stores/1451/p-124585.shtml Rules for "Bean Bag Toss" http://beanbaggame.tripod.com/midwestbeanb...iation/id1.html
ok im from cincy so im right in the middle of this... cornole and bean bag toss are two different games... the bean bag toss board is smaller so pretty much you have to throw the bean bag right in the hole... but cornhole your supposed to have it hit in front of the hole and slide into... i cornholed just a couple hours ago and its a really sweet game

Here's the equipment sizes for "Bean Bag Toss" ... no small board in this hetrosexual game. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Following Equipment is used for MWBBA Events <u>Boxes </u> Boxes should be constructed of Plywood or Hardwood so there is very little if any spring effect on the thrown bags. The top or platform should measure 24" wide X 34 1/2" to 36" long. The hole is a 6 inch diameter hole centered 9 inches from the top of the platform. The front of the box should be approx 5 inches tall and the back should be approx. 12 inches tall creating an approximate 12 deg. angle. <u>Bags</u> The bags should be a finished size of approx 6" X 6" and weigh 1 lb. with all bags being equal weight and size. Bags can be filled with many different materials, the most common being unpopped popcorn, split peas, and lima beans.</div> You cornholers have any rules? Not that I'm interested! Sounds like a game for ex-cons and Joey Harrington to me!
Wow... there's little or no Cornholing going on in Pittsburgh... at least not to my knowledge.... The only game I've ever played with a bean bag involved was Toss Across. And that was with the tic tac toe board and you had to get the tiles to flip with the bean bag.
oh well theres another game that involves a very small board and a single hole.... there are a couple rules in cornhole... if you land a bean bag on the board its a point... if you get it in the hole its three points... its played 2 on 2 first team to twenty one wins
but say i make one in the hole and the guy im goin against put one on the board... you would take the three points i got for puttin making it and subtract the one he put on the board so i would only get two points
