Pats/Saints trade

Nola sends DT Sullivan to Pats for Bethel Johnson.

If this is a salary dump by the Saints, it makes some sense. I can't understand why Belichick would weaken their WR corps/return game to bolster what could be the strength of the team.

Thoughts?

 

Bethel JOhnson was supposed to be a long shot to make the roster, Sullivan is a decent prospect with the potential to become even better especially if he's along side a guy like Vince Wilfork.

 

Bethel Johnson was suppose to be so good last year. I dont know what happened. He has tremendous speed, and has the potential to be a good WR. I would rather see Sullivan twice a year, than Bethal because i know Bethal might get behind one of the panthers DBs for a big gain.

 

Bethel lacks an important skill, Route Running, hes a great athlete and deadly special teamer but You give him anything other than a fly route and hes lost.

Then why do all these guys go to "speed" camps before the combine?

I thought speed camp was where you watch that movie where if the "speed" of the bus drops below a "speed" of 55 mph it blows up. What was the name of that "speedy" movie?

I think the name was "bomb on a fast moving bus" or maybe it was "public transportation nightmare"

 

Bethel was in BB's dog house last year. It's very imperative in his system that you become familiar with the schemes & Bethel wasn't getting it done. He was also injury prone.
