<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It was bad enough having to face red-hot Kobe Bryant last Thursday at FedExForum.

Having already lit up Portland and Minnesota for 65 and 50 points, respectively, Bryant continued his pace by hitting for 60 against the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies sent a wave of players at him, including Rudy Gay, Mike Miller, Tarence Kinsey and Dahntay Jones, all to no avail.

They'll get another chance at Bryant tonight when they meet the Lakers at Staples Center.

''I don't even think we slowed him down,'' said Kinsey. ''He was full speed the whole time. It was very difficult. He's a great player. Since that 60-point game, I've been hearing all kinds of rumors that he practices the same move, over and over for an hour. It's nothing I can do to alter his shot because he practices it all the time. You're just hoping that he has an off night.''

Kinsey, noted more for his defense, said he remembers one stretch of last week's game in particular.

''It's nothing that you can really do,'' he said. ''I'm not the only one that goes through it. I really take pride in defense, and for a man that probably scored 12 points on me in about five minutes, it's frustrating.''

Jones, also a good defender, got physical with Bryant when he came in to the game. But all that did was add to Bryant's will to score.

''I just try to make it as hard as possible for him and take away the things that he does best,'' Jones said. ''It's very frustrating, but that's why he's the best at what he does. It's a team effort when you go out there against a player of his caliber. You try to push him to certain defenders and hopefully we can get it done as a unit.''

Jones said he will try to make Bryant work a little more on defense to take away some of his legs on offense.

''You've got to keep him moving,'' he said.

"Any time he gets to be stationary on defense, he gets to build up his stamina and be able to go after it on offense. It's kind of a rest period for him.''

Kinsey was a little hesitant to say what he'll do differently.

''I'm kind of scared to say what I'm going to try to do because I don't want him go out and do what he did again,'' Kinsey said. ''But I am going to try to do a little something different, probably play a little more physical with him.'' </div>
