The Suns-Mavericks rivalry is one of the best to watch. They have put together some classic games especially the OT 129-127 PHX win. But for some reason I don't think these two teams will catch up in the West Conf. Finals. Dallas will be a No. 1 seed and PHX will probably be a 2 (maybe 3). I think with the way San Antonio is playing they can beat the Phoenix Suns. Maybe a Dallas vs. San Antonio rematch but this time Dallas has homecourt?
THERE IS NO WAY THE PHEONIX SUNS ARE GOING TO BEAT THE SPURS. If any of you saw last nights game you'd agree with me. I expect them to play in the semis, Suns might put together 1 win, 2 wins would be pushing it. Anybody in the basketball world with half a brain knows its going to be Dallas and San Antonio in the WCF. The East is pretty unpredictable.
Last year's playoff run was exciting for the fact that the Mavs had to go through both the Spurs and the Suns, and that both series went the distance. As a pure basketball fan, it doesn't get any better than those 2 series'. This year, the Mavs appear to have an easier road than they did last year, as they will be going throught "either/or", as opposed to "both", the Suns and Spurs. No matter which one, I predict another classic series this year. Of course we are assuming a lot, afterall, the Jazz and/or the Rockets will NOT be gimmes by any means. There is plenty more to be done before we can start talking about the WCF's.
