<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Vince Carter can't blame the Toronto fans for this slump. In two games in Cleveland, LeBron James shined like a superstar while Carter flamed out.

Aside from Cleveland's domination on the offensive boards, the King James/Quiet Carter disparity is the difference in this best-of-7, second-round series the Cavaliers control 2-0, with Games 3 and 4 at the Meadowlands.

"LeBron was really, really special both games," said Lawrence Frank, whose Nets look to a avoid a 3-0 death sentence Saturday at 5 p.m. "If he didn't score, he got his teammates high-quality shots. Their star player was really special. When you look at it, their star has been a star, they've offensive rebounded, and they've [had us] turn it over." </div>

On a more positive note, this might benefit the Nets when it comes time to negotiate a new contract. I definitely think he's lowered his value a bit.

I expect for him to explode in game 3 and drop 30-45 on Lebron and the Cavs.

Do we really want to resign him when he's playing like this? Even if it's a "bargain"?

The thing that keeps happening to VC is that he has a good game, then he has a bad game, he keeps going on and off.

Well yea, I was assuming that the Nets want to bring him back. I personally think Thorn messed up when he didn't trade VC last year. Jefferson is younger, a better defender, more consistent, and should be kept IMO. But, its come down to a situation where they can't keep both, and if they stick with RJ they'll get nothing for VC.

[IMG] I guees you can dream. They should have traded Carter, now he has lost alot of his value and he could choose to resign or leave the Nets. If he signs off, then the Nets will have gotten nothing in return. As i have said before, this team is getting old and they should just rebuild with the young players avaliable and stop living in dreamland, thinking that Jason Kidd can play for more then 2 years in his prime. They should trade out and build around Willams. This draft is one good way to do something.

You do know that Krstic isn't going to be injured forever right? We're in the second round this year without a good big man who can rebound. Next year when we have Krstic back everything will start to work out. If we re-sign Carter, we will still have the big three. Kidd, Carter, Jefferson, Moore, and Krstic sounds like a pretty good lineup to me. With Boki Nachbar, Eddie House, Josh Boone, and Marcus Williams coming off the bench I could see us as a top team. Krstic will most likely work on rebounding and defense on the off season as well as all of our other big men. Plus we could get a draft pick or free agent big man who could rebound. Once we get better on the defensive side, I'm sure we could be a contender.

Ya.. and you do know that the only reason this team got to the 2nd round was by playing the most inexperinced team in the playoofs right? Also there is a possiblity that Carter will not stay and Kidd is getting old. This is not going to be a top team with the rising east teams.
