    In exchange for LB Simoneau...

Rumor has it that Philly expressed interest in Deion Branch as well, but the asking price for a new contract was too high. shocking! [IMG]

Wow! Who's going to be number 2 in New Orleans, then? Reggie Bush?

Interesting - good move for the Eagles. I'm glad I picked up McNabb in FF.

I guess NOLA gets a conditional 4th round in '07 as well.

Man what a bad trade for the saints. I thought Stallworth was due for a breakout season. He had 70 recs for 945 yards and 7 TDs. He was about to get the hang of things and now they trade him. Mcnabb will love this guy.

I'm surprised that the Patriots didn't try a "Branch for Stallworth" swap here...

According to NFL Network the Saints could be shopping that conditional pick to the Chargers for Donnie Edwards.

Rumors are that the Saints offered a 4th round pick for Edwards but A.J Smith wanted a 2nd round.

Like BA said the 4th rounder from Philly could become a 3rd if Stallworth plays in so many games.

I am liking our (i.e. the Eagles) outlook, more and more each day! It will be interesting to see who they let go.

With this huge O-line, and the return of Buckhalter, the running game will be fine. Westbrook and Westbrook 2 (Moats) will change the pace as well. Now Stallworth is going to join the mix, although I am slightly worried that he will have the Peerless Price syndrom. Reggie Brown, Baskett, and Pinkston are all, very capable #2's. Baskett will take some more time to develop, but Reggie and Pinkston can definetly be VERY good #2 and #3 options. I'm really not worried about this offense.

On the other side, I'm expecting great things as well. The breakdown of the defense last year was due to the lack of fresh bodies on the D-line. The whol defense starts with the defensive line, and now, it's better than ever. Darren Howard and Kearse on each side will wreck havoc on opposing QB's, namely Mark Brunell, Eli Manning, and Drew Bledsoe. The only weakness I see on defense is at OLB. Hell, Carlos Emmons was great in Philly, but look at him in NY. I think getting rid of SimoNOtackle was the best thing they've done this year. The Steelers game was a true testimont of stopping the run, and they did a good job.

So with my return to the forums, I'll make my prediction early. Eagles vs. Bengals in this years Super Bowl. Let's start the "silver and green glasses" respones, although mine are more of a "black and green" shade.

There's a slim chance that you might win the division, but your chances of getting past Carolina &/or Seattle is a pipe dream.
