They took Green. Two SF's now. However, both are extremely versatile and it seems like Durant or Green will be playing PF as well. Should be a deadly combo.
If the Sonics re-sign Shard, they are going to look a lot like the Atlanta Hawks. A team full of hybrid small forwards. LOL. Shard Durant Green Wally Wilkins

I think it's a great trade, but somewhat disappointed we didn't opt for Brewer. I really like West though.
What the HELL are we doing? I love the trade, I love Green, but I am REALLY confused. How many forwards do we need?
You guys took 3 centers in a row, so why 2 SF's isn't that bad. I do hate the Green pick though, why take 2 SF's? Do they think they can get something for Shard? I think Brandan Wright would of been the better pick but oh well, I like your draft strategy of playing small in the West, then Boozer can man-handle you guys like the W's.
I'm happy with the trade although I thought we were making a play for Conley Jr. so when Memphis selected him I though the deal was dead. Green surprised me as I thought Brewer was rated higher. Still, from what little I've seen and read he's a versatile guy with a very mature, Duncan Jr. type game in that he's not a flashy guy just solid and knows how to play. Now if we can pull off something with Ridnour I think we had a great draft day and from the sounds of it they're not done dealing.
Presti obviously isn't done dealing yet, but it's a nice start that he isn't afraid to pull the trigger. Exciting times ahead.
I really don't like how we have so many forwards! What the hell? I thought two would be enough, but we're going to have 5? Ray Allen, how could we give him up for #5 pick? I'm so frustrated with the organization right now.
Carl Landry at 31, with 35 going to Boston. Three combo type forwards, and we want to re-sign Rashard...
Durant's a power forward, plain and simple. So is Landry. Don't know why the Supes would resign Rashard, though.
For veteran experience. Rashard is the only one who's the remaining of true Sonics (back in the 90's) whether late 90's or not.
Yeah I hate to see Allen go as well. But hey it's a business. I've liked Delonte West. I haven't followed Green too much. I too would have liked Corey Brewer instead. I think we need to keep Rashard, unless Presti has some deal going on for an experienced shooting guard.
I was reading the DraftExpress on Jeff Green and I have to agree we're looking at a Boris Diaw type of player, maybe a little bigger and tougher.
Only sign-and-trade possibilities I can see at a glance are to Orlando for Darko and change, Golden State for Ellis and Foyle, or Washington for Jamison (whose contract expires next year). There's not much of a market.

He's got range on his jumper and is apparently a good passer.
If you're looking for a Jeff Green, I'd go with Scottie Pippen. Green can run an offense, score when needed, and is a lock down defender. High basketball IQ, and you won't have to worry about him having to defer to Durant. Durant and Green compliment each other very well.
