Okay, this is obviously going to be speculation. Anyways, assuming both Andre Iguodala and Thaddeus Young are still playing with the Sixers in 5 years, who do you think will be the #1 option? As of now, it's obviously Andre Iguodala. He played terrifically last season and he was one of the leaders on the team. He can score, defend, and pass. Andre Iguodala can do a little bit of everything, which is what makes him such a special player. But to me, Iguodala would be better suited as a "Robin" role, because in the past, when we had another go to scorer, Iguodala would often play with little aggressiveness on offense, focusing on the "little" things that don't usually show up in stats, like playing great defense, and making plays. Thaddeus Young has not stepped foot onto an NBA court yet, so it would be premature to judge him yet. But coming into Young's freshman season, he was a top ranked freshman, ranked only behind the #1 overall pick himself, Greg Oden. Some even said he was better than Kevin Durant. But obviously Young's skill set still remained unpolished, which is why he was available at pick #12. Thaddeus Young has tons of potential and talent, if he reaches his full potential, he can very well become a superstar in the league. So, in your opinion, 5 years down the line, who will be the better player? Will Andre Iguodala be the Robin to Thaddeus Young's Batman? Or will it be the other way around? Again, this thread is just merely speculation
I dunno yet. I see where your coming from, but I think its too early too tell. Once I see what Thad can do in the next 2-3 seasons, maybe thats when I can say my answer? I just don`t have an answer yet.
I really dont know that much about Young. I never saw one of his games in college. All i really know is what nbadraft.net wrote, which i know isnt exactly accurate all the time.
Andre Miller is gunna be the guy. On a serious note, I have no clue. You think Iggy, but Young could just own some guys and everything changes. Right Now, I say Iggy in 5. But it could change.
Is it me or does Philly have a lot of guards/small forwards with some potential? Louis Williams, Iguodala, Carney, Byars and Young.

He dominates summer league every year, but then the season comes and he doesn't really do anything, kind of reminds me of Kareem Rush and Jannero Pargo (only not as talented). With that said I agree with you as far as Iguodala, Young, and Byars go plenty of talented swing men. Now if only we could get rid of Dalembert's overpaid ass we would be good to go.

Everyone's always impatient with those types, but it's not fair to judge them until about the fifth year of their career, when they'd be rookies had they stayed in college. For every Kobe, TMac, and LeBron, there were players like Jermaine O'Neal, Rashard Lewis, Tyson Chandler, and Eddy Curry who were written off early but wound up being very good players in their own rights. As for the question at hand, I'm going to go with everyone else and say it's too early to tell, but if I had to make a prediction, I'd go with Young. Had he come from a different high school class or perhaps chosen a different college, he probably would have been a top three pick. I'm still not sure why Jeff Green was taken over him. Ten years from now, Seattle will look back at this draft and regret not taking him. Either way, it's a good problem to have. Say that Philadelphia winds up with the top pick and takes O.J. Mayo this season. How sick would a Mayo-Iguodala-Young backcourt be five years from now?

I really don't know who to choose but i'll think i'll go with andre. But thaddeus is gonna be a beast. And if he grows a few more inches like i heard he could wow.
