NBA's New Slogan: "Where Amazing Happens" <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The NBA is putting the finishing touches on a new advertising campaign for the coming season with the theme ?Where Amazing Happens,? marking a completely overhauled branding effort that will take on significant importance given the fallout from the recent referee gambling scandal that has jolted the league. San Francisco-based Goodby, Silverstein & Partners is the NBA?s agency of record and is completing creative on the new effort, though concepts of the campaign were presented to team presidents during their meetings July 26-27 in New York. The campaign?s theme has drawn praise from a number of executives who heard about it during the meeting, but the NBA is keeping details of the campaign under wraps until the season draws closer.</div> Source
Where amazing happens? Sounds sorta dumb to me. Are they making amazing? It sounds like bad grammar or something. I think the NBA slogan should be: "Your Daily Fix".
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Master Shake:</div><div class="quote_post">"Your Daily Fix"</div> That might've been more appropriate during the late 80's. I think it should be "Double or Nothing."
<div class="quote_poster">MrJ Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">What was the slogan before?</div> Wasn't it "I Love This Game"?
<div class="quote_poster">Swish Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Wasn't it "I Love This Game"?</div> Oh yeah, that was okay, I guess. The "amazing" thing sounds really corny though.
I think they should just keep it the way it was. I agree with MrJ, it is corny, and it sounds weird. It is like the players are making amazing. How do you make amazing. I just can't wait till the NBA season starts, and I don't have to worry about slogans.
I actually like the WNBAs slogan "Will You Be Watching When" or something like that. Better than this crap we have now.
"Where The Amazing Happens" would make more sense, IMO. This sounds like they have no regard for grammar.

They should fire the guy who thinks up their slogans and hire Julius Hodge in his place. Some great Hodge quotes - "When I’m not playing, I like to work on my game and look fly for the honeys." “Duhon’s always saying that everyone's playing for second place, well I guess now he's that guy.” “New York is the place to be. I could wake up there at three in the morning and decide to go to the store for some chips and Snapple and there would be cars racing down the street and people walking around everywhere. If I do that here, I'd probably get attacked by a deer.”
<div class="quote_poster">Swish Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Wasn't it "I Love This Game"?</div> I thought it was "Did You See Her?" or something like that?
NBA's New Slogan: "Where Games Are Fixed and the Referees Detirmine the Outcome of the Game Based on Who Pays Them More Dough"
It's pretty average, thought if the NBA's trying to change its image after the betting scandal I can't blame them.
