It's sad news. I just read this on the morning paper 10 minutes ago and while it didn't surprise me, it sure got me thinking. Loads of talent wasted by off the court problems. If he had somehow applied himself he'd have been an All-Star. RIP Eddie Griffin.
This is really tragic. He was so lucky and talented, but so troubled. When I told my friend she said, "That guy was so funny in Deuce Bigolow" after forgetting I said Minny Timberwolves and Houston Rockets and nba player NOT comedian/actor. Then she said "Oh, didn't he see the train coming?" and then I looked at her with disbelief (because its pretty evident it was a suicide). Then she brought up the fact he might have been distracted by the DVD player in his car similar to last time he crashed into something. She's an idiot, but I guess she's pointed out a rather tasteless possibility.
R.I.P. People desire to live their lives differently. It is not for us to judge. Hopefully he fulfilled his ideals in life.
hmm.. such a shame. I remember when he came into this league, I was so excited and expected him to become a star. Things don't always turn out the way you expect. RIP E.G.
Its always crazy to hear professional athletes throw away millions because they can't control their alcohol or drug problems.....or dog fighting
