How exactly does one come up with that conclusion, especially A) When you have Durant on your team and Jeff Green has yet to even play an NBA game.
He does look pretty good, I'm not sure he is better than Durant though. The guys is playing with a lot less pressure to perform than Durant.

maybe if Carlissimo would play Durant down low and stop encouraging him to jack up 3's then the issue would be settled.

Right now, Durant is a freak athlete and a streak shooter. Green is the intangibles guy, he runs the floor well, he plays solid defense, he can play multiple positions, he's a terrific playmaker for a guy his size, he rebounds on both ends.. I mean he does it all.
Seattle doesn't have a clear-cut best player, though, in my opinion. Some could make a case for Durant, some could make a case for Wilcox, some could make a case for Green... but it's tough to tell.

QUOTE (Downunderwonder)

Jeff Green to me plays like a faster version of Al Harrington.

I disagree. Green is more of a creator. I think Green is very similar to Lamar Odom in a lot of ways, except with a higher basketball IQ.

Jeff Green is good but hes not great at anything. He is a good scorer, a good defender, a good passer etc but he is not great at any of those things. You can't build a team around a guy like that, he is going to be a good role player but Durant will be a superstar.

We should have taken Yi. It would have put more butts in the seats and would have taken some pressure off of Durant to shoot the ball everytime he touches it. Jeff Green is a very solid player butYi has more upside...and I would rather lose with players that had more upside for the future. This is especially true when that player with more upside is currently outplaying the player who seemed to be more NBA ready when getting drafted.
The best player for the Sonics this season has been Kurt Thomas. That is why we have the record that we do.

What position is Jeff Green going to play for the Sonics? He's undersized to play PF unless he bulks up, but I don't think he has the frame and body to add the necessary muscle mass. Tweeners just don't have success in the post season when the games slow down and get physical. I think Green can have a successful career at SF, but it's the same position Durant should be playing.

QUOTE (peg182)

Luke Ridnour is for real.

A titanic bust for real.

i despise ridnour.
At least Durant is showing some promise.
They should get rid of RID he suck and doesn't ever get better.
