So wait, did i miss somthing this past offseason? are there new rules stating that you can go back in time and give a team a first down?
cough wouldnt make a difference cough they didnt put time back on the clock and they actually lost time. Crazy game though. McNabb was amazing and couldnt have played better
definately a tale of two halves....er..a tale of 4 quarters. the eagles looked really good for the first 3 quarters, but i guess the whole team let up in the 4th quarter and it eventually cost them the game. i just hope Kearse is ok..he was helped off the field but eventually carted into the locker room..it didnt look good at all.
more of a tale of 5 qtrs. that game was long as hell. i dont know what happened at the end there. very disappointing, especially having to watch it with MM and GF1 and their dad.
All I know is that the Eagles racked up a total of -3 yards in the overtime session while the Giants had close to 100. That wont win you games if you are the Eagles.
yea that ruling didnt actually matter but here is what happened. The Giants spiked the ball resulting in about 10 secs of time lost and a loss of a down. Then the official reviewed the play claiming that the review was called before the Giants spiked the ball. Therefore after the review the Giants should have a first down AND there should have been about 10 more seconds added back to the clock there was nothing wrong with giving them the first down there was something wrong with taking time off the clock, but who cares the Giants won
I don't like the Eagles, never really have. McNabb is like a shooting star. He starts out hot and burns out by December. But I can't believe Andy Reid yesterday. He got a lead and coached an absolute disaster of a game from about mid-way through the third quarter to the end. Note to any NFL Head Coach: IF YOU HAVE A LEAD ON A GOOD TEAM, CONTINUE APPLYING PRESSURE AND TRY TO SCORE POINTS. DON'T BE SATISFIED RUNNING THE BALL AND GOING 3 AND OUT EVERY DRIVE. Hey Andy...... nice job man.
Let me add a condition to that....trying to score points does not mean running a lateral on a punt return when you are up by 7 in the 4th quarter on the road....that's just generally a bad idea.
