AFC East division. Why? The only threat to them is the Jets and they are already 1-0 against the at the Jet's turf. Miami clearly won't be on the playoff radar and the Bills need to find a way to have a decent QB that they can stick with for the whole season.

After the first 3 games of the season people had Penn State winning the Big 10 in a cake walk. Not gonna happen.
Put Penn State in the AFC East, and they finish 2nd. Come see me with this one in about 6 weeks. After the Pats beat "somebody".

lol to the comparison of pats vs penn state. lol
The Patriots will win not only the AFC East, but the...SUPERBOWL as well. Book it, bet on it.

As Penn St has been brought up, I feel much better quoting Lee Corso, "Not so fast my friend!"
There is always the Colts who got over the mental block regarding the Pats last year and I have not written off my Super Rep from The AFC -Baltimore- yet.

QUOTE (CelticKing)

lol to the comparison of pats vs penn state. lol
The Patriots will win not only the AFC East, but the...SUPERBOWL as well. Believe it or not blackadder, that game vs the colts (for the bowl), it wasn't as much as colts getting over the mental block as it was the pats not brining their "A game" to that game. It was their game to lose and they did, which brings us to this year, a lesson learned, and they'll win it now. They want. Have you watched their games yet? Have you seen how damn good they're playing? Have you seen their defense? (thats missing harrison and seymour)

They were the favorites to win the division so it's not a momumental achievement. The Patriots have been the best team through the first quarter of the year. They look unbeatable at this point and Moss will cause havoc on anyone lining up to defend him. He's just too, fast and Brady is too, accurate with the ball for teams to contain him. It's almost unfair watching him pick apart a secondary.
I also respect the killer instinct this team displays. Last night with a substantial lead in the game, the Patriots went for it on a 4th and 1 situation. They could have settled for a field goal, but instead they went for it and got a 7 yard TD run to ice the game.
The only thing holding them back will be injuries or facing a team who is explosive on offense and has the edge in team speed.

Let's stop making excuses, the Colts have beat the Pats three times in a row.
I can't wait for November 4th, Indy and NE has the best rivalry and probably will for the next few years.

THe MNF last night was the 1st chance to watch the Pats & I did not.The announcers annoy me & really could care less about Cincy or the Pats.
HK; The Colts had a cunningplan last year. It was to let the Pats get ahead and let their arrogance do them in. If memory serves, the Colts had to rally back to win.
The Colts/Pats has been the best rivalry in the league for years and looks like it will remain so for a few more.

First, It was stated the Pats would administer a rectal pounding& then earlier in this thread that we should crown NE's backsides.
I am not Sigmund Freud, but....

The Pats offense is too good for the Colts D, I expect the Pats (if healthy) to win that game pretty easily. I can see Dallas giving the Pats some problems. I want to hate the Patriots, but I just can't. Tom Brady is proving that he is the best Qb in the league (not just to me, to ESPN and many other analysts). If he would've had Manning's receivers his whole career, God knows how many rings he'd have by now.

The Colts have actually played good teams, unlike the Pats.

QUOTE (Mamba)

The Pats offense is too good for the Colts D, I expect the Pats (if healthy) to win that game pretty easily. Qbs also make their receivers better.
Randy Moss has 7 of Brady's 13 TDs, so it isn't like Brady is spreading the ball around like Peyton did in 2004. If Brandon Stokley can get 1000 yards and 10 tds, I'm sure Peyton helps Reggie and Marvin.
Brady will finish the year with a 110 QB rating plus or minus 3 (I'm basing this off Kurt Warner's 1999 season). He's relying on one guy too much.

Per the thread question, sure.
And the winner of the Colts-Pats game IMO has the inside track to the big game, BTW.

Well this is what i love about Moss. I finally don't have to hear Pat fans complain about their receivers, so if the Colts beat them and Manning edges out Brady in stats this year, you people have got no excuses.
BTW, Manning had 4 TDs without Harrison on Sunday. I don't care if Harrison is injured or not.

QUOTE (Dre)

I love the Colts but Moss should stomp all over them...it's gonna be ugly.

That's quite possible. Moss might drop 3-4 TDs on the Colts, but in a shootout at home, I'm taking Indy.

True, they have weapons as well...but the Pats D might put their foot down and it won't be so much of a shootout, especially if its in NE.
I'm talking playoffs BTW, not regular season.

Why didn't the Pats D put their foot down when they were leading 21-3 in last season's Championship Game?
