There was something on the NFL network that made me change the channel.. The show??? WHO IS TONY ROMO!!! They have got to be fucking kidding me.. sure he started respectible.. Had 1 Great game.. and has looked like shit the last 2 games.. but yet he might aswell be the next Troy Aikman.. I am so tired of the hype around this guy.. he isn't as good as people portray him to be... I seriously Hope Romo either lives to this hype.. or falls flat on his face

Dallas is football's New York Yankees. It's always been this way and always will be this way. They are "The Team"

Personally I didn't watch it. I was going ahead in my guide and saw it and thought the same thing you did. A bit early to be making shows about him especially considering his last few weeks.

The media loves these stories. They'll fall head over heal in love with a guy one minute before he's done anything then after he's accomplished a lot and become a sure HOF they'll throw him aside as soon as there's a sign of decline

    1. It is WAY too early to be making a celebrity out of Romo.

    2. Did you even watch his last two games? He wasn't all-world, but he was a long way from stinking it up. I actually thought he played decent and I was satified with his performance.

Doesn't matter if he was decent in the 2 games.. what 3 ints and 1 TD the last 2 games??? 14-9 on the year??? I am just making the Point that the media is blowing him way out of context.. I never said he wasn't good, but the Hype around this guy is far from deserved

I watched the program & thought it was good until they got to Jerry Jones. His response to the question who is tony romo was he's a guy who likes to make plays. Gee thanks! [IMG] As quickly as the hype can be attatched it can be taken away just as fast.

His ability to scramble is keeping the offense moving which we all know Drew could never do. He's a nice story for now. Whether he's the next Tom Brady remains to be seen.

I agree with your hype point but not the others. My point was that if you watched those 2 games, you would see that 2 of the 3 picks went right through the receivers hands and became interceptions. I'm not sure how you pin that on Romo unless you prefer just to analyze from stats instead of actually watching games.

Throw out the first game against the Giants where he came in at halftime behind and had to throw all the time, he would have 14 TDs and 7 Ints. I will take those stats. Even with that game, he has a 16/10 split.

I saw it...it was sickening....wheres the "Who is Ladainian Tomlinson" show? How about they profile someone that has actually accomplished something in the league....it was absolute fluff of the worst kind....

Absolutely - I think a show on LT is deserved. Or how about a show on Marvin Harrison?

I'm just waiting for the "Whose Tarvarus...er...Tarvarius...um...Travarus....ehhhhh....Who is Jackson?" show.

I don't get this. Is it because Dallas won 3 Super Bowls? If so, then why does everyone hate the Pats and love the Cowboys? If anything, the Patriots should be America's team because of their theme. You know, red, white, and blue, founding fathers, muskets, etc. Being a good ball club doesn't hurt either. Yet I hear people saying that they would want to hang themselves if the Pats win another Super Bowl. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't care what they think.

Dallas has won 5 Super Bowls actually. I really don't get it much either but the media provides the hype and it's the beast they created.

I believe that it has to do with Dallas' owner, Jerry Jones. Since he took over the Cowboys, he has taken steps to market his team with more determination than most. He wants him and his team to get as much of the spotlight as possible. The bottom line is that he is trying to sell jerseys and tickets, and create a "brand" that people identify with. If Romo needs some cosmetic surgery to improve his TV face, then Jerry can probably recommend a good doctor as well.

If it makes you feel better, I hate both teams. A Cowboys-Patriots Super Bowl would surely sink me into a state of deep depression. The Turd Factor would probably force me to root for the Patriots in that match up. I'm just praying that it never comes to that.
