Vince Young wins offensive rookie of the year. He deserves it. He led a 0-5 team to a respectable 7-9.

DeMeco Ryans win the defensive rookie of the year. I have no problem with that. But I'm a little pissed that the voting results showed that Dawan Landry only had one vote.

Come on... This kid was picked in the fifth round and he's playing like someone at least in the second round. Talk about a steal. And to add to his resume, he has 69 tackles (48 solo, 21 assisted), 3 sacks, 6 pass defended, 5 interceptions and one touchdown. He deserves more than one vote. But he may be overlooked because he plays on a Raven defense who is filled with stars. He has a bright future as a Raven.

Anyways, congrats to Young and Ryan.

I disagree with the Offensive Rookie of Year selection. I think if you look at the stats it's clear that Maurice Drew deserved the honor.

Pretty much all of the nominees deserved to win. I mean seriously... Vince Young really carried the Titans on his back. Jones-Drew had nearly 1000 yards rushing, despite having only one start (although 300 of those yards came against the Colts).

Colston, the forgotten man, went over 1000 yards receiving as a rookie and tacked on 8 TDs to boot. When's the last time a rookie receiver went over 1000? I think it was Randy Moss...

the fact is the spot light isn't on Jones-drew in jacksonville... as to where Vince young is the spotlight for tennessee.. its all about popularity.. and spotlight.. Demeco Ryans won because well he is a stud but name 1 good thing about the texans this season???? i am not saying vince isn't deserving.. but Jones Drew is more qualified if we are going by stats

A.J. Hawk finished 3rd and in a common year he probably wins it. This class was stacked this year and everyone is benefiting it someway. Even the Lions with Ernie Sims. [IMG]

well IMO it should be based on stats. This isnt the mvp award. VY is the MVP for Tenn & Drew is probably not the MVP for Jax.

Some would claim he led them to 8-8 too. [IMG]

I agree with this pick, although I agree there were a lot of other rookies that made a huge impact and several might have won in other years.
