Lavar Arrington, Luke Petitgout, and Carlos Emmons released

Looks like the giants are starting to clean the house a little bit, but Arrington was starting to get good.

 

They throw in Arrington along with Thomas and Briggs into the market.

 

Arrington is shit. A big pile of shit. I said it when they signed him, and this proves me right.

Please tell me that your kidding. Arrington had 14 solo tackles and 2 assists last year. He had 1 sack. Just because the whores of media keep putting his name in the headlines, doesn't mean that it deserves to be there. Arrington is a joke and a bad one at that. He's the Freddie Mitchell of linebackers.

Not sure if you remember but he did get hurt. I didnt like arrington but he did start getting better. Im happy emmons is gone but Petigout was pretty good not sure why they let him go

Arrington's hit was no more than the straw that broke the camel's back. It's not like Aikman would have been fine if not for Arrington's hit. Aikman had already had a problem with concussions to the point that it was almost scary to watch him take any hit. When it comes to toughness, Arrington isn't worthy to tie Aikman's shoes.

Nah that was just the last straw... eagles pounded aikman every sunday gave him over 8 concousions... But you know how the story goes the smallest one gets the last hit .

Yea you freaking wish, why wont you go make papa Reid proud and shoot up a lethal amount of heroin for all of us. Then at least your stupidity could be shown in a real life situation as well.

I stand by all three moves. Petigout was one of the most penatilized O-lineman in the league two years ago. The reason why he wasn't so this year is because of back spasms, which have plagued him the last 2-3 years. Good release, Emmons has lost more then a step and him being released is no surprise. I hate to admit BF1 was right about Arrington, but he was. He just didn't get the job done overall. He got hurt just like every other defensive player on the Giants this year. With his history of injuries, the Giants made a smart play and released him.

In defense of the signing it cost them less then a million dollars to have him on the team all year, this taking into account his injury.

The Giants are obviously heading in the right direction.

I'm sure it was just the Eagles that put the hurt on Troy. Perhaps the Eagles should concentrate on winning a Championship rather than wasting time seeing how many players they can hurt. Troy has three more Super Bowl rings than any Eagle defender that hit him. If you want to go back a little farther, while the Eagles were thumping their chest over the Bodybag Game, Gibb's Redskins came back the next year and won the Super Bowl.

Well, regardless of how many hits Aikman had to his head (which were a lot!), Arrington is still a girl. Also, Tom turn-your-head-and-Coughlin is not making the Giants a better team. Marty Stinkenheimer seems like a much better fit there, and is now unemployed.
