Don Nelson is apparently set with his starting line-up.

Baron Davis, Monta Ellis, Kelenna Azubuike, Mickael Pietrus, and Andris Biedrins, at least until Jackson finishes his great time out.

    Holy crap that's small.That's 6'3, 6'3, 6'5, 6'6, and 6'11.

I love Nellie. He's the only dude crazy enough to throw the shortest lineup ever out there.

He's on the bench. I guess he needed some fire power if Ellis is to start. I mean who else has huge scoring ability? Don't say Belinelli! I didn't see much inside game from him at all.

Even though he's shorter, Peitrus is probably a better defender and rebounder at the 4 than Harrington anyway.

Sad but true. I also tihnk this serves as motivation for Harrington and Barnes to get their asses in gear plus its a bit of a reward for Pietrus who has been solid in the preseason. Not to mention it can't do anything but help Pietrus' trade value.

I agree that it's a psychological move and for the short term at most. Last season, Nelson said he was going to rely on Murphy at center and Dunleavy to do big things and we all know he reversed that decision in the blink of an eye. So, I think like last season, Nelson is just trying something, and in effect sending a message to Harrington as well as Pietrus that they both better produce/get better. It can't be much worse than starting Matt Barnes.

First, this "article" is just a blog, nothing in it is gospel. Second, in the helter-skelter style the warriors play you get rebounds with athleticism, not necessarily size. Petrius rebounded pretty well when he played the 4 at the end of last season, although I don't think he can do it for 82 games becuase of the pounding his body will take. Harrington is fairly slow and flat-footed- now that I think of it, I can't remember him really throwing it down at all last year- and that makes it very hard for him to rebound when he will have to out-quick and out-jump people to get them.

There was an article about Don Nelson bringing Al Harrington off the bench. I thought Al did a very good job in the preseason, so I do not know how long that will last. But I feel way out of the loop right now. What is up with Stephen Jackson? Is he injured?

Maybe I am going to need to add Azubuike to my fantasy team. I think he'll have some good games if he starts. But I guess it will have to be between Webster (who has had a great preseason as well) and Azubuike...

I guess this is how we fight our rematch with the Utah Jazz...haha. Should be interesting. I have been feeling a bit pessimistic about this season. I am hoping Andris Biedrins and Al Harrington step up big time like they have at certain parts this offseason/preseason. We'll need big production from Bellinelli as well. I guess we have a little more than a week left before the season starts. I am very anxious to see how it goes.

Jackson is suspended for first 7 games.

At this point, I won't take anything too seriously. Nelson originally said he may put Monta to the bench. But, when Monta didn't play at all due to neck injury, he is back into the starting line up. And, after Harrington played quite well in preseason and started basically every games, he is back to the bench. Not too many things follow usual logic, and I expect some sort of starting line up change before the regular season starts...

Jackson did not appeal. The union was thinking about it, but I don't believe they did...

Pietrus starting at PF is ridiculous. I guess Nellie is worried about not having enough offense on the bench or at least, not enough consistency while Jackson is out. Think about who would have been on the court in certain situations...

Baron, AZ, Barnes, Harrington Biedrens would probably be the most logical starting 5, but then the second unit would consist of

Monta, Belli, Pietrus, Wright/Croshere and POB. All of those guys have question marks surrounding them. Is Monta healthy? Can he run the point effectively? Will Belli go 1-10 or 8-10? Same can go for Pietrus. Can Wright handle the punishment at the 4? Which POB is going to show up? The guy with 4 fouls in 3 minutes or the guy that blocks 3 shots and gets 12 boards? This way, Nelly can have someone to light it up off the bench. We all saw how Harrington started off games hot as can be, but then cooled down as he tired. This way he can provide some offense off the bench so we dont have so many 35pt quarters vs 15pt quarters...
