God damn it ESPN, I bet that 1 guy is like Mike Woodson.

Whatever, let us be underdogs, I like it. I just hope we can improve our inside defense and become even better.

Are you guys really surprised? They haven't made the playoffs is forever! I'd be happy if they made it but they're a few years away from the playoffs. Let the team get some experience.

Well, they have a new PG, a very good rookie PF and great team chemistry. We have Josh Smith, Marvin Williams and Josh Childress playing very well. Joe Johnson is play like his usual self and Shelden is always getting better.

I like the Hawks a lot... they remind me a bit of the Bulls. I love Law but i think he may need some time.

I think the Hawks have a chance make the playoffs THIS season. You wouldn't believe how tired I am of the whole "their a few years away", weve been hearing that for the last 4 years! Still we haven't made the playoffs in a while, so I can understand the prediction.

QUOTE

Wondering what they put in Hollinger's water down at the PER cult in Guyana. He has them making the playoffs, while I have them at 30 wins tops, with 24 wins a more realistic prediction. And here's one more: Mike Woodson is the first coach fired.

    LMFAO He's an expert?

Lol, 24 wins, why? We have clearly made an improvment all they media does is put us down. Can`t wait till we own and make the playoffs.

It is not a sure thing but at least the Hawks have a chance at making the playoffs. I personally think that they will make it.

I think you're right on the money with that one. I can't help but follow the Hawks since I now live in Atlanta. They sure are accumulating a collection of good, *young* talent. What very often happens with teams like this is that half of them blossom and half end up so-so. If that's what happens, it puts the Hawks in a good place imho. Wouldn't be suprised if they bust out at any given moment. Having said that, I don't want them to get so good that it becomes hard to get tix when the Nets come to town! ;-)

If Woodson isn't the first coach fired this season, I'll be surprised.

Wow, you guys are lucky. Hollinger absolutely hates the Nets. He put them out of the playoffs.

I wouldn't base much on this. They also have the Magic as the favorites for division leaders.

Well, the Hawks have a very good nucleus, and they can definitely run with the Nets. I see the Hawks as a definite sleeper and will surprise a lot of teams.

Thats what I think as well. They'll get a lot of wins from teams that don't take them seriously.

Al horford adds a solid big to their team which they needed. He better turn into an elton brand type player but dont have the luck of an elton brand type. The hawks will be doomed like the clippers. Even tho they both are. The hawks will not be last in the conference from what i think. The others teams just happened to improve or stayed solid from last season.

Time to break this down! I'm bored LOL.

    fair enough...

LOL last in the conference? Anthony is always making himself sound like an idiot. Also like Ford he's always been a huge HATER!

Who said the Hawks want to be the Suns of the East? IDIOT!

    fair enough..I can understand that.

Has he been watching Acie this pre-season? But OMFG!!!!!The biggest Hawks hater on earth, actually saying we have a shot at the playoffs!

Good review. I think Marvin will start to produce, he's healthy this time around.

thats how Hawks nation feels, lets hope it come true!

This is what you call an idiot, someone you already give someone an award before even playing a single game. 3 months later he looks stupid. He probably picked Morrison to win ROY last season, before the season even started.
