Sorry I've been away for a while obviously because of the recent happenings, San Diego Wildfires, homework, etc etc. The forums have been really slow for some reason. How could we have a thread about the Cowboys and Patriots game and not for the Patriots and Colts? Obviously because we already have one or two a year which is reasonable.

Think about it like this, it's THE GAME TO WATCH THIS YEAR!!! Two undefeated teams. Peyton vs Tom. Another year, another game (maybe during the playoffs again). Let's do some talk man!

This is one of the best rivalrys of all time! One of my friends told me that it even rivals the Cowboys and 49ers back in the days (BEFORE I WAS BORN, SHOCKING!!!)

Anyways, your thoughts on the game? Who will win? Why? Please make more comments other than "THE PATS WILL WIN BECAUSE I'M THEIR FAN, YAY SUPERBOWL HERE WE COME!!!" What about this, who would you rather have, Brady or Manning? They both have rings even though Tom outnumbers him by 2. But Peyton has made more commercials which has more upside in marketability. BUT, Brady gets the babes...

This topic isn't only limited to the game this Sunday but I hope it doesn't trail off to something regarding the Dolphins (you know who I'm talking to...) or a bunch of trash talk. Let's keep it on topic please. I'll post my opinion/prediction once I'm done with my homework.

I was really excited this year for football, but the 49ers have been unbearable to watch and it turned me off from watching football this year. I'll probably tune in to watch this game and it should be the game of the year, but the radio waves have talked about this to death.

I think the Colts need this game more since their schedule is tougher and the Patriots face weak competition from hear on out. If Indy wants any hope at homefield advantage and indoor football during winter they have to win this game.

I'm pretty sure Marvin Harrison is hurt. I don't know if he'll play. If he doesn't it's not only a minus for the Colts, it's a plus for the Pats. You can't give the Pats any +++'s, not even when it comes to intangibles.

On the other hand, the Colts wont be "awed" like the Redskins were for example. The Colts are the Pats first opponent this season that "knows" they can play with the Pats, and they know they can beat them. I doubt the Pats have played anybody else like that so far.

I don't think it'll be enough though, so I took the Pats. I don't try to predict scores. But the Pats will win.

I would like to also put my pick in also. Colts. Why? Peyton Manning is able to go for a shootout. Though he will be minus Harrison, I beleive he can still use some of the other recievers like Clark and Utecht. I doubt the running game has any factor in this game but it will be nice to test each of their defenses early especially the Patriots with Addai. Plus, Manning clearly has a number on the Patriots D since Ty Law has left. Don't forget, they do have a clutch kicker in Adam Vinatieri so remember his name. About the Pat's offense. I know they have a deep recieving core but the Colts play their defense smart and won't let anybody get past their safetys (hopefully). Maybe some Cover 2?

The Patriots are significantly better on offense, defense, and special teams. The Colts are a great team, but I don't think they're on the Patriots level this year. I can't see any team getting the the Pats' way. Patriots win, 41-21.

I hate the Patriots with a passion, so i'm going Colts. The Pats are amazing this year but the Colts aren't too far behind if at all. I don't care how good of a team you are, if you're facing Peyton Manning in Indianapolis you should be the underdog. I'm going to say 28-27 Colts, but as long as the Colts don't lose by 6 or more i'm good... money riding.

Everyone I know thinks I'm crazy for picking the Colts, but I'll give them credit for playing a much tougher schedule and still showing that they're just as good, if not better, than last season's Super Bowl winning team. I wouldn't be surprised if either team wins, but I got the Colts on this one.

Yeah, the Colts' opponents have a better combined record but the Cowboys and Chargers are better than anybody the Colts have played. "Much tougher schedule" is definitely a stretch.

The Chargers were struggling badly at the time the Pats faced them. I think the Cowboys were the only really good team New England faced and even they're a bit overrated, IMO. I think they'd only be the 4th or 5th best team in the AFC.
