Well, he's claiming that its better, but if he struggles, I wouldn't be surprised if that ankle suddenly gets a little dicey again. [IMG]

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DolfanDale)</div><div class='quotemain'><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (vikingfan)</div><div class='quotemain'>Keep in mind that he's been playing with a nagging ankle injury that he doesn't talk about (yeah, he's a horrible player who doesn't give any effort [IMG] ). That's a big reason he 'lost a step' the past few years.</div>
Fair enough, but why should anyone think that ankle will get better just because he's in New England?</div>
Something in the water there. That's what I hear.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>From the moss web site here is what his agent had to say (at least now we know where the 40 yard dash numbers are coming from)

?The trade of Randy Moss to the Patriots is indeed a major milestone in Randy's NFL career,? said Tim DiPiero, Moss? agent. ?Several weeks ago, when the Raiders first gave Randy permission to talk to other teams about a possible trade, the first team contacted was New England. Randy wanted to find a team with an established quarterback and coach, a team with a need at wide receiver and most importantly a team with a good chance of going to the Super Bowl. When you consider the genius of Coach Belichick, the brilliance of Tom Brady, a first class organization with the record of the Patriots which arguably had a need at wide receiver, New England was the natural spot.

"With the signing of his new contract, it's clear Randy has hit a grand slam. He couldn't be in a better place and he couldn't be more excited. When the Patriots signed Donte Stallworth a few weeks ago, we had doubts that Randy would be in their plans. We hoped they would still be interested and work something out with the Raiders, but we didn't think it was going to happen even as late as Saturday night. In fact, it wasn't until almost 2 a.m. on Sunday morning that we knew and then everything happened fast.?

?Randy has been highly motivated this Spring to get in excellent shape and prove he still has ?it?. Last week, after running several wind sprints, he ran two out of three sub 4.3 40-yard sprints. He is healthy, in great shape and becoming a Patriot has given him the same kind of enthusiasm he had entering his rookie season. At this stage in his career, Randy's greatest desire is to win and the fact that he has agreed to restructure his contract and take a significant cut in his salary, demonstrates his willingness to work with the Patriot organization and his teammates to try to achieve their ultimate goal.?</div>

I've been away on vacation, so this is the 1st chance I've had to comment on the Randy trade. It's great to hear that Randy wants to play for a winner, but action speaks louder than words. He had no choice but to restructure his deal b/c he was going to get cut otherwise. So that doesn't really impress me at all. How he performs on & off the field from here on out is where it counts. I'm excited to see what this new offense can do, but at the same time cautious of how long Randy can behave. With that said, I'm almost rooting for him to screw up just to see the Pats stick to their word & cut his ass on the spot.

Hey there. Yeah, its been a while and its been dead around here. Thanks to the draft there are actually about 10 posts a day now, lol.

Anyway, I think we will see a new and improved Moss but if we don't I fully expect BB and staff to stick to their word and can his ass.
