Sitting at the bottom of the AFC North with a 4-9 record, many would say the Ravens have no reason to play the games left. But here's how I see it:

With the next three games being Miami, Seattle, and Pittsburgh, each of these games have something worth playing for despite making it to the playoffs is doubtful.

For Miami, who are 0-13, we seriously do not want to be the ones to give them their first win. That would be a good enough reason to win next week. For Seattle, we are 3-0 against the NFC West. That's about it other than showing that we are still a pretty good team that shouldn't be taken lightly. For Pittsburgh, it would suck to end the season being 0-6 against division rivals and it would be very nice to give the Steelers something to think about other than being embarassed by the Patriots.

And yes, I did see the Sunday Night game against the Colts. I'm disappointed that the Colts beat us but I'm not insulted though. Most of those points were basically given to them because of our mistakes by the offense. I respect Tony Dungy in taking his starters out of the game because that was a smart move and a moral one also. If it was the Patriots on the other sideline yesterday, I seriously believe that they would end the game with about 60-70 points. I don't really have anything to say about the game because, quite frankly, there isn't much to talk about.

I think our offense is at the lowest point it has ever been this season. Boller and the offense struggled to move the ball against the Colt's 2nd string defense. But there are some good news. I finally got to see Troy Smith in action as a Raven. Though it was against the 2nd stringers on defense, he looked pretty good. The drive ended up with him running for a TD. It should of ended sooner with his first pass being a TD to Yamon Figurs but he couldn't reach the ball. He placed the ball pretty well and read the defense to make that pass. He also showed some mobility and awareness to escape from defenders when the pocket collapsed. He ended the game completing 3 of 5 passes and a TD run.

Should he be the starter against Miami? Not likely since I still believe Boller is our man and if our offense struggles and Miami is leading by halftime, then yes, he should get in. For now, he should just get more reps for the rest of the season and maybe a chance to play if things go downhill like it did yesterday.

Also, I can't believe David Pittman got to play. I'm disappointed at him since he was picked in the third round last year. He got beat twice for TD's and I was glad he got taken out of the game by Rex Ryan. I'm a bit shocked that Ronnie Prude didn't get to get the starting nod since he is better than him and Derrick Martin.

What happened last night, is what I thought would happen against NE. But with McAlister and Rolle out, it was almost guaranteed, Indy would destroy us with the pass. Not much depth behind them.

It was quite awesome to see Troy on the last drive. Impressive too, since it was his game action of his career. I don't care that it was on 2nd-3rd stringers. And I'd like to see more of what Troy can do, but yeah, Boller has to start next week. We can't go into it with a rookie QB against an 0-13 team.

I hit a point before the Chargers, Pats, and Indy, that I figured the season was over. Not much to play for, and since then I'd rather us just win next week, lose the rest and get that high pick. Bad as that sounds.

Bottom line is that we've had an unlucky year. Our defense is all banged up and McNair and Boller couldn't make anything happen.

But it was nice to see Troy Smith finally get to play and score a touchdown. I can't wait till we see more of him next year.

You mean this season, or last few games? He had surgery on his shoulder couple weeks back. Obviously done for the season.

For this season, he just regressed. Injuries must've taken a toll on him. I'd be surprised if we didn't release him after the season. .
