IBF and IBO Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitschko has shaken-off losses to Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster. He has put together an eight-fight winning streak that points him towards unbeaten Russian southpaw Sultan Ibragimov. The two do battle at Madison Square Garden on the 23rd of February, 2008.

And people wonder why the heavyweight division is in shambles...

Klitschko wins a unanimous twelve-round decision (119-110, 117-111 and 118-110) over Sultan Ibragimov to unify the IBF and WBO Heavyweight Titles.

Klitschko jabbed and kept his distance throughout the fight. Going into the final rounds he was implored by his trainers to go for the knockout, but smart fighters aren't always exciting fighters, and he instead stuck to his gameplan and ground out the victory.
