Twins Morneau's price goes up

QUOTE

A little birdie says the Twins last winter could have signed Justin Morneau for nearly the same $33 million, four-year deal they gave teammate Joe Mauer. I wonder if they can pay them both....if they decide they cant, you gotta pay Santana and get what you can for Morneau
Hmm, I'm conflicted.
I wouldn't mind if he priced himself into the Jays lineup but I'd hate to him on the Yanks or Sox.

Morneau seems like the kind of guy who would be willing to stick it out with one team and see what happens. I hope he gets to a bigger market but staying with the Twins wouldn't be the worst thing.
But by signing Morneau and Santana, will the Twins handcuff themselves in the future?
