At this very moment, it's the Lakers' They have I believe the highest bench scoring of any team in the league, and don't really have any huge weaknesses other than the lack of a solid backup for Pau Gasol (who doesn't have to sit for very long anyway)
ill put in an argument for my team Toronto Ford leads the team right there they have the upper hand Delfino is a good player shooting and cutting Kapono 3 Point Champ Rasho is consistent Brezec fits in well Hump can do garbage work Graham... well has flashes of ups but besides that, meh Toronto has to be top3 AT LEAST, if not number 1
I definitely feel its Toronto. They haven't been in the first half of the season, because of injuries, but they should show that now that they're healthy. They were the best last season and only have more talent this season. TJ Ford is a starting point guard on the majority of the teams in the NBA. There's barely any drop-off from Calderon to Ford (if anything TJ's more effective as a spark off the bench). Delfino should actually be starting on this team, but Mitchell has a crush on Jamario Moon for some reason. He'll have off nights, but is a damn effective scorer and an aggressive defender. Kapono is the league's best 3 pt. shooter. Humphries is a good rebounder and serviceable big body. And Rasho, despite his terrible contract, is still a very smart, fundamental rebounder and post defender.
LOL No doubt it's the Bulls. First four off the bench are Gordon, Nocioni, Hughes, and Gooden. It's going to change real quick though. Bulls bench since the trade has been scoring something like 80 PPG.
Detroit: Amir Johnson, Jason Maxiel, Hermann, Stuckey, Afflalo, Hayes, Ratliff, Juan Dixon Lakers: Walton (assuming Vlad is starting), Ariza, Vujacic, Farmar, Turiaf, Mbenga Cleveland: Sczerbiak, Joe smith, Varejao, Pavlovic/Devin Brown (which one starts?), Damon Jones, Gibson/West (again, which one is the starter?) San Antonio: Manu Ginobili, Damon Stoudamire, Kurt Thomas, Jacque Vaughn, Ime Udoka, Brent Barry Boston: Cassell (?), PJ Brown, Leon Powe, Eddie House, Tony Allen, Glenn Davis, James Posey Those are the best benches that come to mind, Toronto isn't in their class IMO. I would rank them 1. Cleveland, 2. San Antonio, 3. Detroit, 4. Boston, 5. LAL. Boston could move up a lot but I'll wait and see how Cassell and Brown look. Sczerbiak, Joe Smith, Varejao, Pavlovic/Devin Brown, and Delonte West/Daniel Gibson is a pretty effin god second unit. SA is playing two legit starters off the bnech in KT and Manu plus Mighty Mouse has looked solid as a backup and Udoka and Barry can play. Detroit has lots of talent but they're very young. LA has bunch of overacheivers but not much size.
Definitely the Bulls: PG-Ben Gordon SG-Larry Hughes SF-Andres Nocioni PF-Drew Gooden C- Aaron Gray Too bad the starters suck.

How can a team with the next Tim Duncan not have the best bench?

Clearly its Boston. If BOS wasn't in the NBA, I'd say Cleveland. (our main enemy through our road to the rings)
This thread is just a bunch of homers advocating for their team. (most, anyway) CLEARLY, it's the Raptors.
Except the Pistons actually do have the best bench in the NBA..Cleveland is a joke, really so are the Raptors, no offense.
