"It's tiiiime for the UFC!" <-- said in your best Bruce Buffer voice

That's right fight fans, UFC 83 is only 5 days away!!
So it's time to make your predictions

If your new to the S2 pick'em league and haven't made picks before, here's the rules and format for making your picks http://sportstwo.com/forums/UFC-Pick-em-league-t110826.html

Newbies are always welcome to take a shot and join the league.

A slight change to the bonus points.
With there being 11 fights, I'm giving out 6 bonus points for getting all of the main card bout winners correct and 5 points for getting all 6 of the preliminary bouts correct and if you pick the winner for all 11 bouts, you get 14 bonus points!!!

good luck everyone, here's the fights. Don't forget Serra vs GSP is a 5 round championship match.

okay, so that was a very good PPV IMO, save for Kalib Starnes trying out for the track team.
and we have some very good results in our pick'em league.

Speeds continues to control the league as he wasn 9-2!
Trench didn't do so hot at getting a lot of points, but he got the main card completely correct, being the only guy to pick Nate Quarry (a pick I talked myself out of) and got the 6 bonus points for getting'em all correct going 8-3

Congrats to newcomer Chocolove who was a solid 5-6 but nailed his picks getting 18 points putting him solidly in the middle of the standings for this week.

    Results:
    1. Speeds 27 points, 9-2 record
    2. Knicksfan3 26 , 7-4
    3 Trench 24 , 8-3
    4. Celtic Fan 22 , 7-4
    5. Chocolove 18 , 5-6
    6. Flush 13 , 5-6
    7. Zae 10 , 5-6
    8. Big Frame 7 , 4-7

meh, it's a crap shoot sometimes.
as you watch more MMA, you'll get the hang of it more and more.

I sometimes use sherdog's fight finder to see a fighters fight history and the method they usually win their fights by to try and predict the way they'll win.

    http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfi...?FighterID=3500

keep at it boys, it's all part of the fun of following the sport [IMG]
