<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Joe Dumars said Tuesday that nothing was imminent, but a big trade was coming. He said approximately 10 teams had contacted him.
The speculation that he has talked with Denver about acquiring Carmelo Anthony has dominated non-Finals national discussion.

"I knew that once I got up from that table last week" after Saunders' firing "that I opened Pandora's box," Dumars said. "Once I said that, I knew the phones would start ringing. I knew, following that, the rumors would start. I'll just say this: We're not talking to teams about their second- or third-best players.

"My point has been if I'm going to put these guys on the market, then don't waste my time talking about guys who you don't like."</div>

So...does that mean he's trading Rasheed?

Or is he trading Chauncey, like we've been hearing?

Instead of trading away those key pieces, they could've just drafted Melo instead of Darko Milicic...

Denver is not that stupid, I hope not anyway.

I'm sick and tired of other teams giving Detroit gifts.

It's not the Bulls than, since their two best players can't be traded. So much for my Kirk, Thomas, and Gooden for Rasheed and Billups idea, to just shake up both teams...oh well.

    So thinking of names here:

Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson will undoubtedly be available...Carter more so than jefferson. Isiah may be able to pull some strings for Dumars and get Eddy Curry to Detroit for Sheed. Billups for Andre Miller? Gilbert Arenas is available. Carmelo of course. Maybe Hamilton and Sheed for T-Mac. Phoenix for Steve Nash. Maybe Gasol or Brand.

The trades Dumars is going to make will undoubtedly set the team back quite a bit IMO. Unless he gets a top 5 player in the league. Guys like Vince Carter, Michael Redd, Curry, Jermaine O'neil, just won't be worth it. It would be good to see something like, a Sheed for Marion trade. I think Gerald Wallace should also be one of Dumars's targets. Anyway, just because he gets another teams best player, doesn't mean hes gonna make his own team better. Though they didn't make the finals, the Pistons are probably the second most well rounded team in the league, after the spurs. Its just their motivation that gets them. Aim high on this one Dumars.

No trades will be done this summer by the Pistons because who is out there left to trade for? With all the talk coming from last month, nothing's going to happen.
